The Cordoba Stage is a thinline acoustic-electric guitar designed to bring nylon string sounds to a loud amplified environment without the treat of feedback. Available in a few finished the Cordoba Stage has been a popular addition to the line and found a home with many performing guitarists. Now Cordoba has expanded the Stage line with a Traditional model. What are the key differences and who is it for? Check out Cooper and Ramon’s review.

  • I am sure they are very comfortable, but man, these sound absolutely terrible. The Godins don’t sound nearly this bad. What witchcraft is Godin using that Cordoba is not?

  • The instrument looks cool and comfortable, but the sound is just not there. It's none of Cordoba's fault, the technology hasn't solve this decades long problem, the piezo pickups still sound awful no matter what, too bad.

  • I dont understand how godin manager to get a sound far nicer than everything else in this cattagory, the guitar in this video looks to be similar but sadly falls short

  • Ok, my honeymoon with my Cordoba Stage & LTD T-6 is over with. My bizarre take: these are amongst my VERY favorite guitars, but I agree with every criticism. You see, I want an electric guitar to drive my acoustic IRs and amps in a box. Thus, I'm 10/10 happy with these guitars. I"m a very electric jam band guy who hates a big box acoustic. yay. HF.

  • I am mainly a steel string player and I do not have big hands, so for me the Cordoba Stage is an interesting option.

  • In any demo I've ever seen of Stage guitars (including this one) they always sound really "thin" to me, with no bottom end or depth. Most likely, it is the Fishman pickups that are pretty awful. I have a Cordoba GK Pro Negra. Not only was the pickup iffy in its tone but also that Fishman piezo pickup was unreliable as heck. A few months ago, I had a Go Acoustic Audio pickup and equalizer installed in it. With a transducer under every string, it now sounds amazing. It was a little pricy (about $600) but well worth it. I'd love to try out a Cordoba Stage Traditional fitted with the Go Acoustic Audio system installed. I suspect it would sound absolutely fantastic.

  • Wow, a lot of talk, not a lot of playing. I'm hoping its not as thin sounding in practice, but you'll have look elsewhere

  • I'd love seeing one of them in a traditional wood grain finish. I'm sure many other people would as well.

  • Thanks for that presentation. I'm a rumba player and I'd like to buy a guitar which allows me to play without feedbacks. I think that i will buy this cordoba traditional.

  • I own both of these. I didn't know when I bought the 'natural' finish one – that it had these differences. It became apparent quickly. I now think of them as different guitars because, well, they are. Thanks for the demo. It's great to see and hear nylon string guitars finally becoming more viable for live gigs. I've been chasing this since the '70's!!

  • I own one of these. (In Garnet finish!). Very pleased with it. Concur all the pros. Biggest con: needs hard shell case. Gig bag is nice, but guitar needs protection if hauling it around.

  • This Metallic Gypsy dude is gifted enough to play luthier made Flamencos, not factory stuff like Cordobas. Im talking Gerundino and Reyes baby.

  • Suggestion : A comparison between the Yamaha SLG200NW (the one with the big neck) and this Cordoba stage traditional ? Specially their different sounds through the amps, electronics specs, etc. ? Thank you for the good content !

  • Yes, please include more nylon strings. Thank you for this video. Another cool offering from Cordoba!

  • AMEN on the feedback! I have 3 electric nylons, Godin Multiac Mundial which is my favorite especially with the body percussion sensors and it cost the most. The same Cordoba Stage Cooper is holding and I love it and` the way it adds to my fingerpicking style. I also have an Ibanez FRH10N thats costs less than either I mentioned, and it plays great, but DOES have feedback issues and I miss having a volume or tone control on the Ibanez. I have minimized the feedback with with a TRS cable and with a passive hum destroyer from Behringer, but I love my Stage and Mundial.

Great review AND THANKS FOR SHOWING SOME NYLON ELECTRICS!
