From every description of this guitar I've seen elsewhere, the back and sides are laminate Rosewood.
I second the notion that it's Rosewood back & sides…and I'm pretty sure the back & sides aren't solid wood.

what is the chord at 0:48? I'm so bad at seeing chord shapes in videos. Lovely guitar – don't have a washburn acoustic but I do have a washburn electric bass that I've had since I was a teen.
