  • I'm thinking of building one of these into a guitar. The input could be hardwired to the volume control and the output hardwired to the existing guitar output, since the sonicake has an automatic pass-thru when the unit is off. Not mentioned is that the unit includes an equalizer, hence overcoming the limitations of single coil vs humbucker pickups.

The only limitations I see are that you can only have one look at a time; and you can't output to headphones & input play-along music simultaneously via blue-tooth, which just means that you might have to plug in headphones instead of using wireless.

I'm trying to see if a full range 5" speaker and a 20 watt amp can be fit into a guitar along with the sonicake. For most uses, that would eliminate the need to carry anything but the guitar and case. And, for more power, wireless units could connect to bigger amp(s).

  • I used it on my NuX AC25 on the 2nd channel and it sounds unreal… it is all cheap gear and Acoustic amp… with small speaker. But sound is solid! I made my patches for it, but anyway! Also Looper is only 10s that is only petty. You can custom load NAM profiles. It shrinks them in quality, but betters the sound overall. And you can use Custom IR as you saw… unreal for 65$ 😀 it sounds TOTALLY PRO compared to some really old processors like my Zoom 7.1. That is a toy, but the old zoom is a toy compared to this unit… Android device recognize it in DAW apps… as a audio device 😀 They nailed it… it is a solid good sounding processor for any beginner. 🙂

  • I enjoyed watching you go through every preset and figure out what to play. I can't wait until mine arrives.

  • I have the Pocket Master at home. In my opinion it's crap, the sound quality is not good. The 22 year old Digitech RP-50 has everything better – compressor, distortion, chorus, reverb and delay. The only thing the old RP-50 lacks is an IR box. On a 22 year old product 🙂
