I remember watching Stanley playing his early Alembic on TV in the 70's. I think he was playing with Jeff (Rock & Roll Jelly???) His Alembic had a thick cable going to a box. My guess is it was early active Bartolini pups and the box was probably the preamp, but it's just a guess. It was so long ago and I was just a kid. Never forget it tho.
