This is an awesome USA Gibson ES-335 from the now closed Memphis factory with a beautiful figured top. This is styled after mid 1962-1964 ES-335’s with the small block inlays, stop bar tail piece and vintage style three-tone sunburst. In 1965 they would introduce the floating trapeze bridge to their 335 models. It appears a lot of figured ES-335’s from this year had this style maple top and paint job but ceased to have carried over into other years as far as I’m aware. These are some of the most versatile guitars made. They can get everything from clean jazz tones, classic Cream era Clapton tones of course and respond well to heavy distorted tones. This guitar is equipped with Burstbuckers.
