Tips And Comments:
– Playing Sound: To get a reggae “Family Man” fat sound like this one it’s important to play close to the neck (rest your thumb in the end of the neck) taking extra care in muting the string at the end of the notes (the low sustain is because of the flat wound strings)
– Gear Sound: Cut some of the treble and raise some mid and bass. You can also turn down the tune in the bass pickup. Beware of not to exaggerate the fatness of the sound itself
– Song: In reggae the silences are very important, so try to respect them as much as possible (it’s actually hard with a high sustain bass). The rhythm in the song is not that hard, except for some parts. Once you got the main bass line, you’ll notice it will be repeated several times with a few changes. Listening to the song with headphones or earphones will help a lot.
