duff actually plays funk line and funk, welcome to the jungle, mr. brownlstone have funk touch, even rocket queen..
but duff didnt modify his bridge pick up till he was on velvet.. ive watched many live even hes pictures with his bass and i just heard the comparation stk j2b vs fender jazz bass 60's pickup, both are really similar, the different is fender jazz bass 60's pickup has vintage style, and stk j2b is modern version of it.. stkj2b pickup more clearer no. muddy.. that means appetite for destruction duff used stock pickup, i dont know its 70's or 60's pickup on that bass, but i suspect is 60's

I had that exact same bass way back then, even the same colour with the black neck and headstock. It was a good bass, but I used my P-bass and Rickenbacker way more, so I sold it. Wish I had it back now.
