  • Markbass always sound breathless like something is missing.. Buy the Rumble 100 & stuff insulation into the speaker box, really tightens the tone..

  • Useless comparison when it is done via DI. The speakers are the main factor which shapes the sound. I've got the Rumble 40 Studio. When using the Direct out or headphones out it sounds pretty good. Only that the speakers are the weak point here. If they would be decent the amp would sound a lot better. With the factory speakers it does'nt. It's just OK, but not good.

  • The MarkBass sounds like it has a wet blanket in front of it in comparison to the Rumble. The only thing i like about MarkBass Amps is the way they throw. They throw very wide and on stage your band mates can hear you better. Also, the slap sound on a MarkBass is horrible to my ears, just so brittle, compressed and honkey, sounds so fake. I'd take the Rumble any day!

  • I own a Rumble 75 which sounds nothing like this example of the Rumble 100. I know they're not the same amp but my 75 sounds HUGE.

  • Sounds like you didn't dial it in because both sound bad. Not very shocking coming from someone who still has the plastic on their pickup covers.

  • I like the fact the Rumble sounds more punchy….
Id adjust accordingly to make the sound a lil more "BEEFy" like the Mark

  • Great short thank you have a Mark 112 and love it, but for 200 I can use another not to move it from my living space;)

  • Fender gonna cut through the mix much better. That Markbass just gonna muddy it up.

  • I know I don't like the Fender because I used to own one, but in this demo it sounds better than the Markbass to my ears.

  • Get the Fender, it will be easier to get repaired if things go wrong.
My Markbass CMB102 burned out the pc board that’s a go between the output cable to the speakers.
Out of warranty and finding someone in a rural area is non existent.
Luckily the head survived so I just bought a MB 210 can used, took out the pc board out of that cabinet to use the combo.
I just can’t trust to gig with it again.

  • The 150 watts Markbass with a 15” speaker costs $70 more than the 12”, 100 watts Rumble. 150 watts. 150 watts. Big differences.

  • After owning products from both manufacturers, the Fender will last a lifetime. The Mark Bass will die in 2-5 years right before a gig. Buy a Fender

  • Great comparison. I’m a big fan of Markbass amps but this one sounds so mid scooped here. In other videos I found here on YouTube I had the same impression.
