  • I wonder if they're American made, I see the sticker but don't know if that's a made in America sticker or not

  • Funny thing about SX Jazz bass is that comes with p bass neck, so you may have a good sound but not the comfortable playability of a jazz bass

  • I seen one in pawn shop other day. Went back next day to buy but it was gone. I've never recovered from the sickness I've experienced ever since that day I first laid eyes on one of these guitars. It felt kind of heavy but really just because it was solid and well built instrument. Sounded like it was hooked to an amp almost when I plucked the strings but it wasn't. If I ever find another for sale I won't let it slip away again.

  • But where can I buy one in the UK? Has to be this exact model! Am I going to need to contact Rondo Music? How much is this thing? So many questions

  • I have one i bought about 8 or 9 years ago, I got it off rondomusic.com. It sounds great, im happy with it.

The one I got is the vintage series. I learned bass on a 1950s reissue fender P bass, which was really nice, but the body and the way a jazz bass looked more appealing in my opinion. My first bass was a violin bass, super light, nice, fast slim neck, but not really suited for the harder, more rock influenced music I was playing at the time.

I found the SX, for about $130. Being a lefty, unfortunately I knew I would have to pay more, but at the site it was the same price as the righties. I love all things from the 60s, including the fenders with the big horns on the headstock. This one has a nice big headstock, more like the 1974 strats. Im a little disappointed that they changed the headstocks on them now.

But anyway, it's a decent weight, can get very deep, it makes the rafters shake when i play it. Good price, stays in tune well, which is nice for playing sets. Mine isn't as fancy with the abalone mother of pearl. But like Jon said, it's a one piece body, nice wood finish, one piece neck.

More than adequate for what you need it to do. I would like to own a fender jazz bass, but what can it do that this can'?

    Jon
