FYI I just got one of these– it'd be too short for a 12-string and is even on the snug side in length for my OM. My (Japanese Martin-Gib lawsuit era) Dread is too big for this case, as are Larrivee L-body guitars, which were based on a dreadnought but with classical waist.
Stock Martin and Taylor dreads did fit fine in it.
The TSA case is pretty deep at 5.7 inches, which is rattly for a lot of modern instruments (like my fairly typical OM, a size Gator doesn't seem to address in their lineup). Another thing I noticed (and this isn't really fair, coming from using Hiscox cases) was while the TSA case is strong from many directions, mine at least is pretty soft around the bridge area and even looks a bit sunken, so extra padding and trying to avoid having a lot of weight on top might be important.
Gator also do a non-TSA plastic dread case, that from the numbers fits similarly to the TSA except for about 1/2" less depth, and in the 12-string version, about 1.5" greater neck length.
I would of taken you more seriously if you didn't blaspheme the creator of the universe all over the place. You may want to rethink that.
That's a Colin Dam case!
Thank you. I'm about to get the same case for my classical guitar. Your review gives me peace of mind… thanks!
