Is The ELF 1×10 The Best Bass Combo In The World?!
#traceelliot #tracelef #trace
Brooksy’s Bass Corner review of the Trace Elliot ELF 1×10 bass combo. Trace Elliot has always been a name to be reckoned with in bass amplification and this new (to the UK and Europe) ELF combo offers great portability and tones in a well-designed package with plenty of power to deliver the goods.

2:44 Trace Elliot ELF 1×10 Bass Combo Review & Conclusions
I used a Spector Euro 4 LX bass, strung with Picato 45-105 steel roundwound strings for the review. The bass was plugged into the TE ELF combo and both a feed from the XLR on the combo and a feed by micing the speaker were taken for this review.

Such a good amp with such a bad noisy fan (i can't use it at home)
I've never seen a blue Spector 4 LX with the gold hardware… its beautiful!
Hands down the Trace Elliot outperformed the Markbass, Gallien Krueger, Fender, Ampeg, and many others. When you see a Trace Elliot, yes it's expensive, but you get what you pay for.
Do you have a miced demo? not a DI
Safe guess… this was the DI sound only… bad representation ????
I need a lighter combo amp and am seriously considering the ELF 1×10 with its 16 Lb weight. I'm pretty impressed with the sound of this video! Cool Alembic shirt!!!
No aux is a dealbreaker. Shame!
So I just ordered one of these and it will be in Monday. Have you had the chance to compare the elf to other combos like the Fender Rumble 100 or the GK MB110? Thanks and great review!
Due to a medical issue, I had to go as light and as small as possible. I bought one 1X10 cab from Talk Bass almost new and another one new from Sweetwater. I plugged my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.2 into the two cabs. I was stunned at how loud it was and how much lows and mids there were. I'm sure the rear port helps. 16 pounds for each cab. The Shuttle has 375 watts at 8 ohms at 600 watts at 4 ohms, perfect for these two cabs. Can't wait for rehearsal and our next gig.
how well does it take pedals?
watts it puts out as a combo??
How is the fan noise ? On some of the bass forums there saying its kind of loud ? thanks .
Well I have bought one e as my first ever. I can lift it! It is compact. Sounds good to me. Trying to understand the science …
I recently bought one of these to replace a Markbass 801 (even tinier than this). The MB is less powerful, but a much cleaner sound than this. I also use my bass teacher’s Markbass Marcus Miller when I go there. Again much cleaner sound than the TE. The Elf sounds muddy and woolly to me and the gain isn’t a gradual “gain”. Move it slightly from zero and it kicks in suddenly at a pretty high level. Overall the Elf sounds overcooked, even at low volume. So I’m wondering if there’s something wrong. Anyone else experienced this?
The Elf sounds pretty good, especially with the Spector.
I recognized the Alembic T-shirt, I had one back in the day, best basses around!
Monster of a bass combo wow
Slap!!!!! NoooOOOoooo
I liked the review ???? But.. the ELF?? Although it has the Trace badge (I'm old skool TE), this sounds just like all the other class D amps I've owned (TC and Phil Jones). And that's disappointing. We move on…
How about that Spector?! What about the gold knobs?
Are you sacrificing any low end in going for such a small cabinet size
WOW! Awesome! That's one sexy box. ELF Rocks!
amazing ???? ???? ???? ???? ???? ????
brilliant ???? ???? ???? ????
