Also, you need EMG 81/60 to get more accurate tone
Is that a 2020, 1970s Gibson explorer reissue?
Any sound tech that wines or bitches about your setup is a crap sound tech. Or in the very least, low level. On another note, I’m sad to say, but your dirty channel doesn’t sound like Hetfield to my ears. Close, but no cigar.
Superb
How do you go between the sounds using the switch I want to figure that out 3:50
Do you use the Roland for the third interlude in One? It sounds so cool but has been hard for me to get with my gear.
Worth "The Wait"
James and Kirk, cool duo in a band…. besides that, making Metallica a huge success
That intro is so cool…. too bad they changed the tone for the Black album
so is it bridge pickup for distortion?
and neck for chorus clean because mine sounds better on bridge clean with chorus i mean it's closer to metallica tone
roland micro cube gx the amp i use and emg 80 combo humbucker
Its an amplitude 5
i have a roland micro cube gx
but it has cool efects chorus also and i tweaked the settings and i made all metallica effects
hi, is that a rosewood freatboard?
what pedal did you use for the distortion? or was that the amp settings?
1:29
Thanks for the breakdown. Very helpful for those of us trying to get this sound but don’t know how.
i have the jc-22, and even tho it’s only 30 watts, it’s still pretty damn great. the jc-40 is pretty great too.
Sounds great, I would just get a Mark V, has a good clean and thrash metal sound.
Sounds fucking great man.
Nearly identical to the OG Metallica sound.
Can you give these amps to James & Kirk so they can get their tones back? Have you heard their live sound lately? It's horrendous.
All you need now is the EMG 81s….. makes a big difference.
I tried using his tone settings with my JC90 is something. Different about his aside form the fact he’s using a 120
That tone made me pee a little.????
Both the clean and the distorted sound spot-on! Must be so cool to be able to get this out of your own guitar.
Is fender ABY noisy? I always getting noise problems with this kinda aby pedals. It needs ground lift or insulation transformer i guess.
Bro i got james hetfields ‘85 guitar tone for like creeping death, ride the lightning live day of green,…
I GOT the same amp! please let me know which pedal you use for overdrive to sound like this???
It seems that you really got the Metallica tone, congrats! But, it is very weird that in this age of AI technology there is still not any specific guitar amp or processor company in order to solve this problem. Is it so difficult? Then, someone should ask Elon Musk to solve this problem!????
Everybody listens differently!. But you cannot compare solid state fet transistors tone technology from a Roland JC120 to an all Analog warm sounding chorus pedal with analog chips inside of it!. It is almost the same sound!!!. An analog made chorus pedal will always sound better through an all tube amp. Than the chorus from a Roland JC120.
But what speakers do u have in ur cab? G12-65/80/T75?
do you mind sharing the settings for that breadfan/sanitarium riff on the retro?
I have the same amp but really struggling to dial it in?
thanks man ????
I'm still pretty new, but can you not load both amps into a profiler to bring one unit
Are you using any pedals besides the aby
I love that tone. It's just right not weak and not too obnoxious
Missed the first fret F during the chorus of Sanitarium
Dont they make a Mesa Boogie Mark II C+?
Pity they went out of fashion 2 decades ago. Corporate ass kissers.
