Midnight Blue is kind of a Minor Blues in Fm. The A section is only Fm and a guitar melody, while the B section offers a nice chord melody and deviates from the regular Jazz Minor Blues.
In this Jazz guitar lesson I’ll teach you note for note, slow and easy, how to play Minor Blues
on guitar. I provide you with aslow version towards the end of this Minor Blues guitar tutorial,
so you can play along, without any hurry.
The B section of Midnight Blue has great guitar chords for a Minor Blues. Kenny Burrell uses
upper chords plus amelody line in between. This is an awesome way to fill up amelody.
I also made the Midnight Blue guitar tabs, which can be downloaded from one of the links above.
If you want to jam along with me, just download the Midnight Blue backing track as well.
I explain everything very detailed, show you tips and tricks how to fret better, make better
fingering choices etc.
So I really hope my Midnight Blue guitar lesson is helpul for you.
I explain the guitar chords, the melody, the scale he uses, to make things very clear to you.
I need your support, so if you like this Midnight Blue guitar tutorial please give the viceo a
thumbs up, subscribe to my channel and don’t forget to share the jazz knowledge 🙂

why are you making a fool of yourself on the first page
AHH YES!! I've always wanted to learn jazz guitar and this is such a great way. THANK YOU!
I can't believe, as a Sandra Groupie, I haven't seen thisone before. Great version and one of my favourite Burrell tracks. Einfach Klasse!!!!
Marvelous!!! ????
Thank you very much for this wonderful lesson.
Great lesson and song, thanks.
You are a great teacher. I really appreciate the step by step explanations you give. Thanks.
I agree. It is one of the secondest songs. Thanks Sandra.
Sandra, I notice you often call barre chords "cowboy chords". Cowboy chords are traditionally thought of as the simplest position 1 chords, a real beginner chord – Barre chords are quite physically technical chords and aren't cowboy chords 🙂 Just saying LOL
I love Sandra Sherman, i would say more but i gotta go practice…
This was wonderful! Thank you.
I really dig Kenny Burrell and this is one of my favorites. Thanks for breaking it down for us. You are the best Sandra!
The coolest song on this planet. Great tutorial too!
Excellent!!
