Massivs biceps deserve this gauges
I would love to see RR's on the STAFF at Premier Guitar!
11:11
would have been good to have some camera time on the pedal settings..
The Rebecca Dirks era. We all miss it.
Does anyone knows if JP uses V30 or C90 speaker?
I met Mattie. He’s very cool.
The monitors are covered by metal stuff. How does the sound go out for listening?
I bet she reads these "simpy" comments & feels utterly repulsed. Lol. Ugh.
What brand are his guitars?
I don't think this guy can finish a single sentence without saying the word 'so'
"Pie zoe" system ????
I heard John's tech Matt said he uses the String Action gauge by StewMac (Stewart-McDonald). It's a "must-have" piece which I cannot do without on my guitars and bass. My action on my guitars are fairly high to most people. And my basses are set lower than others. i set my basses either 2 millimeters on the treble side and slightly 2 in-a-half millimeters on the bass side.
Or a 4/64" going gradually down to a heavy 3/64" on the high side ('cause I'm a fan of Flea from the band Red Hot Chili Peppers).
I like that baritone guitar. The BFR (Ball Family Reserve) model before coming out with the JP10's and JP11's. A nice tobacco burst finish. The DIMarzio pickups are CrunchLab and Liquifire from his signature models. A long scale length; 27 inches. Tuned to A on one song "On These Walls" (the only song with the baritone tuned to A). I haven't played a baritone guitar or can't play one AT ALL. But if anyone wants to jam along, that's fine and it works for me.
The strings are a "custom" set .010, .012, .016, .024, .036, .046. Dudley, the chief gear designer from EBMM, came up with that, John tried them out and he LOVES them. And the 7-string you might ask? Same as the six-string, but with a handy .056 gauge for the "low B".
I like the JP11 that John Petrucci has in a nice black color with metallic silver.
That was a great video. Tech is a very good interview
I just don't get why he would use the Axe FX for 3 effects that could be replaced with analog pedals…???? Can anyone enlighten me? I know he does them in stereo, but again analog pedals can do that too.
I see he still had yngwie as his tech
John and his tech are an awesome team. I love the idea of the thumpers!
Not many things could distract me from JPs guitar rig. Rebecca Dirks is one of them
So
12:19 that smile lol
I like this rig of his much better than nowadays. The entire pedal system is replaced with automated programmed switching.. it'd be more musical and in-the-moment fun to manually switch but I suppose after playing a million gigs you get tired of that 🙂
John can check car undercarriage work with those “monitors”
The camera work isn't good.
The dude looks like Brian Shaw
Top demais.
Sir Dana White, So what's next for Conor Mc Gregor after he suffers from the broken ankle ?
Love these rig rundowns. If they did one on me they would talk to my bass tech…me…yeah a couple different fender jazz & p basses goes into sure wireless into Kong tuner into compressor limiter into ampeg svt head into 2 8×10 cabs….so what do you want to talk about for the last 15 minutes lol.
this guy seems so cool
I would go to war with this guy, he is control !
Is there anything that guy won't do for his boss?? I've never seen such an articulate and knowledgeable guy be so in control of everything asked of him!
what is Brian Shaw doing here?
Best guitar tech i have heard so far
i swear all Dream Theatre members and their tech guys have iq over 150…
Nice custom gauge 10-12-16-24-36-46. The BGD string is perfect for my hand. 9s is fun but the B&G are too loose.
She would be my dream date, a) She's gorgeous, b) we could talk about guitars and gear for hours! Win win.
Nice ????
Not afraid to admit that modelling is the way to go but they have fake amps/cabs for show ????
Larry bud Melman is better with the mic than this chick
I love how they were talking about the Majesty.
Guthrie has just 3 guitars, one of them is fretless. No dramas….u know wat I m talkin about and rest is history..
sick… what a setup! WANT! Great insight, thx!
Those labels on controller wow !! ''their colors, graphichs are really cool.
This one was made by a guy in India… Called… Gandhi… He is a good guy
What type of patch cables JP uses ?
