One important thing to be aware of is that backing up and restoring does not include livesets.

Where's "The Library"? Is tone studio a phone app? How do you get the patches to your amp? My Katana came with no instructions, my first solid state modeling amp – I'm lost. Do I need to hook up a laptop? Da fuck?

I am preferring FX Floorboard because it lets me position my effects send/return anywhere I want. I have several preamps on my pedal board that I use to get the tones I want. I also have an EQ and an ancient Maxon OD-808 overdrive and a looper pedal on there. Also on there is the footswitch pedal for my Boss Katana 100 Mk2 head. So the pedal board creates the tone, it goes into the effects return which is positioned AFTER the Katana preamp and EQ but before all the effects and power amp. So I get to create my tone with various preamps, bypass the Katana preamp and tone controls, and then use all the great effects onboard the Katana. This actually works very well except for one thing…. No matter where I put the onboard noise gate, I cannot get anything through it. I have adjusted it every which way I can but I can never get anything through it. What am I missing? I had it in the signal path before when I was using the somewhat limited chain selection in the Katana Studio and it worked fine. On FX Floorboard I was trying to put the noise gate right after the effects loop return so basically right after the EQ and preamps. No joy. Nothing through it no matter how I have it set up. I tried different locations; in the middle of the effects, after the effects… no go. I have to shut it off completely to get a signal out.

I can't even get this far, I've downloaded boss katana program and downloaded katana driver, my computer is doing nothing with those downloads , I'm bout ready to start breaking stuff.
Excellent thanks. One question, can you activate noise suppression and export into the amp so it's permanently on the amp? Noise is an issue for me, especially with the options other than clean. Appreciate your input

Nice… started a 3/piece punk band and I think I’ll get the Katana MKII 50. Just need a few useable tones and when I get more familiar I’ll be able to make my own. The software seems overwhelming at first but I’m sure I’ll adjust
ok, i just got a mk-2 -1/100 ….but how do i down load using a mac laptop? I keep getting stuck
ive installed fender, and 2 sneaky amps that way its give me 3 seperate channels arent they supposed to be together?
Used this video today. 05/27/2023 and was still extremely helpful and answered all the questions I had about the tone studio preset processes
When I drag a patch to the presets I get a "communication error" message. Does anyone know the possible issue? I do have the latest updates on the amp.

Where do we go once the live set is imported into the katana? How do we put them where we want them on the pedal?
Can you just play the patches or livesets through the library instead of downloading to the amp?
