Donner Practice Bass Amp Small

This little 15 watt bass amp actually works well for certain applications. Those applications include private practice with headphones or through the internal speaker. It allows you to use an audio device such as a phone or other mp3 player to be input and played back through the amp so you can play along. Accessories include a small 1/8″ to 1/8″ stereo cable for connecting phone or ? to the amp. It also includes two adapters, 1/4″ to 1/8″ stereo. There is also a standard 1/4″ guitar cable for plugging the bass guitar into the amp. The amp itself is covered with heavy duty carpet like material with metal corners to protect the cabinet. The EQ section is quite simple just bass, middle, treble and a master volume. The amp itself is rated at 15 watts which in my opinion makes it adequate for practice or perhaps playing with another electric instrument using a similar sized amp but not nearly enough to play with an acoustic drummer (unless he is playing with brushes), even then it probably would be too quiet. Nevertheless the amp is aimed at the beginning player and works just fine for that purpose. In my video demo I demonstrate how the amp stands up in real playing/practicing situations. This amp is not adequate for anything more than standard 4 string basses, since the frequency of the largest strings can vibrate and make the speaker rattle with just the low E string. Don’t get me wrong the amp works well for intended purpose but cannot handle circumstances with other live instruments sufficiently in my opinion. That being said I would recommend this for the beginner who is just getting familiar with the bass or with a more advanced player that just needs a little something to practice in the home environment. It is priced right so you can take advantage of trying to see if bass is your thing. Just have fun..
