  • Let me help you guys before you watch the whole video. Mackie speakers are KNS you’re better off spending your money on EVs or BETTER.

  • Mackie's best speakers were designed by George krampera. They had RCF transducers

  • I returned these because they sounded terrible IMO. I picked up something else to replace my 15 year old K12’s.

  • I have the ibiza sound pkg12a-set they are some speakers i got in a sale and have used them ever since, they are just plug and play the only thing i would turn of is the blue led rings

  • Mackie SRM 450 was the standard 20+ years ago. Somewhere along the line Mackie lost their credit for live PA. These new ones look solid, but I challenge their specs..

  • please do SOUNDTOWN 15 TOPS, OBERON-A15PW or OBERON-115PW !!!!!!!! they are loud for cheap

  • In that price range, the best you can buy is Yamaha DXR……..Mackie is like Turobosound, sounds good, but "no name" electronics inside…….

  • People overlook Mackie’s higher end speakers but they shouldn’t! They go toe to toe with all of them and honestly exceed a lot of them!

  • I have a pair of the thump gos that I have been using for my ceremonies. They sound great, the app control is handy for on the fly adjustments. I would seriously consider these to replace the k12.2s I’m using now, the qscs are getting old and will need replaced soon.

  • Hi Justin, I start telling you I LOVE your work! Thanks for share it with us!

I’m MARQUINHO SAX , Brazilian saxophonist and DJ. I’m using the MACKIE’s SRM212-VCLASS since 2022 August and I’m very happy with the results.
About comparisons, they deliver an amazing clear and deep sound, I know another brands (like the ones you mentioned) sometimes can deliver a little, little bit more pressure, but no one with the clear and deep sound like this amazing model.
Thank you for this video, and again, thank you and congrats for your amazing inspirational work.
I’m at the NAMM SHOW every year, I hope to meet you soon.

  • Been a DJ for 35 years, from experience the Mackie brand is unreliable, internals seem to be made with chewing gum and high hopes – another clear case of the old DJ saying, ''buy cheap buy twice''. You think you're getting a bargain then 3-4 years or less down the line, ''poof'' what's that smell why is there no sound.

Those cheap looking front screws, ew.

  • pair those with an 18inch sub and watch it work you will even more impress. love these speakers switch from the Evs to the SRM. and if you looking for even more bass more up to the DRMs and you can easily do 200 to 300 guest event with ease. DRMs are ETX long lost brother that nobody knew about lol

  • KC12.2?!?! lol. Also stop calling it a 12” sub. This speaker doesn’t have a sub. Jesus. How long you been DJing bro?

  • Honestly just spend the extra 150$ and get the QSC K12.2. You will look and sound more professional. And if you take care of a QSC can sell it for 75% what you paid 5 years later, while of you'd be lucky to get 50% for a used Mackie because they don't hold their value as well. Can you tell i'm a QSC fan yet?? hahaha ????

  • Mackies are amazing speakers no doubt. I had a pair of those and they do the job when they are paired w 18s. DJs that worry about brands and what other people think is the real issue. A sound tech/DJ that knows how to pair and balance the sound is a true rocket science and knows what they’re doing. DJ Geoff Johnson rocks those in his hoco…There’s no perfect speaker. Even my EVs have room for improvement.

  • They're okay I wouldn't waste my money on them though to be honest. I don't like the look of any PA that isn't a line array style. I know they're more expensive and often times aren't as good of sound but sometimes it's about the look I'm sorry but the look sales.

  • I was looking into getting these because of what I’ve heard them do and I was really impressed!

  • Please do a giveaway if you aren’t going to use them ???? would love a pair as a young DJ!

  • Mackie speakers are junk. You couldn’t pay me enough to use Mackie gear. I’d rather ev at the same price point

  • I'm using a pair of the 215, can do 100 to 150 people events without subs no problem, i even used it for full bands. I think it has the best low end coverage in the market, for people like my that don`t have a way to carry 18" subs it`s great! I do agree with you on the lack of mids, but it has the EQ so that`s a easy tweak

  • Im an LD guy and picked up these in 15 inches. I gotta say, these speakers are damn good. I got them with bags at 620 each. So that was even better. They are tough and sound insane good. Great video Justin, always checking out your stuff, bro. Thanks!

  • Just bought some and did a 600 person prom with them as mains on top of subs in wide ballroom.. I also have the 210/s for side fills. Never even needed to push them. Super clean and the coverage is great! Not harsh at high volume like qsc's. I could still walk up on them. Very impressed with them! Another feature is the mix out LPF.. Very useful for subs without a x-over. Strongly recommend!
