DON’T SLEEP ON THIS JAZZMASTER IN 2025!

Looking for the best value in a used high-end American-made Fender Jazzmaster? The now-discontinued American Original ‘60s Jazzmaster might be it.

In this video, I take a closer look at a 2020 Ice Blue Metallic model and break down why this might be the perfect Jazzmaster for players who want classic vintage styling, more modern playability, and the perfect neck for all you chunky neck lovers out there! I also compare it to the American Vintage ‘65 and the newer American Vintage II ‘66 models to better help you decide which one might be the best fit for you!

  • Why are the American Original Jaguars going for so much more? $2,300 or more!

  • First of all, thank you for your work! High quality, very informative content! Interestingly I got a sunburst one of these (American Original 60s) brand new back in 2019 as my main and only electric – guitar is not my main instrument, I'm just a huge fan – and my one definitely has a beautiful thick nitrocellulose finish. Not flaking at all and still smells amazing! This guitar is pure quality, it holds tuning like nothing else I've ever seen. Weirdly the only weak point on mine is the flimsy 3-way pickup selector switch, it keeps coming loose. Just ordered a Switchcraft replacement that feels much more sturdy, hope it will last longer.

  • Nice color blue. I'm for 9.5 …. and I was going to buy a fender pro 2 telecaster… nice guitar BUT I played a G&L FULLERTON ASAT classic and as soon as I held it, it is a much better built guitar than fender pro 2.. Fender has good guitars BUT they have gotten to corporate. G&L isn't as popular as Fender…
The pickups in your guitar p90s ❓ I have a tonerider hot p90 neck pickup and tonerider hot classic in bridge in my Squire affinity telecaster and it's on steroids now ‼️????????

  • I have a '65 and man, does that finish flake off. I could probably sit and pick off the finish on the entire guitar.

  • Im a sucker for a bound dot fretboard and for chunky necks. Plus, im not a fan of painted headstocks. Id prefer a jaguar though. They make an american original jag like that?

  • Although I generally like skinnier necks, I love necks that start out skinny at the 1st fret and get super chunky at the 12th! Something like 0.79" – 0.99" is just the best ????????

  • Your Charcoal Jazzmaster is dreamy!! You said it’s an American vintage II, this isn’t a standard colour for the line – how did you source it?

  • I have one and it is my main guitar. I am definitely going to get a second one if they’re low on reverb

  • Hey man I really love jazzmasters for a long time now and being left handed and not in USA/Europe it's almost impossible to get a good one, long story short I found one sunburst 3 tone I believe, Crafted in Japan 66 reissue made in 2018 (allegedly almost no use) 2500 dollars… I could drive to the were the guys is and try it out and feel it but I'm not an expert on guitars but im really tempted to get it, should I do it? Run away and wait like 10 years for another one to pop out? Im not sure im paying 2.5k maybe i can get the dude to lower thar price maybe not, anyways… HELP!
