  • Thanks Den. You've simplified so much that learning has become more fun than work, and my results are encouraging rather than frustrating!

  • Den's circle of 5ths explanation changed it all for me!

Although I do skip the sharp minor stuff for now. 50 yr old hands still have issues with barre chords, lol

  • I've got to say this lesson makes understanding the mystery of the circle of 5ths, so very easy. Thanks for this lesson.

  • This is great. I just went from one video, which confused me to this one which makes perfect sense. One obvious question though….

You do have to have the circle of 5th’s in front of you, or memorised in order to do this…?

  • You are quite simply the best guitar teacher on YouTube. A hint for everyone. If you couple this lesson with the lesson "How instantly to know the chords in ANY key. EASY method" then it will even help you understand why some are sharp minors and some just minors. ???? (using the "Major, minor, minor
Major, major, minor, diminished"single string and two chord shape method. He explains it better than me! ????)

  • Hey Den, Nobody else in my past has been as clear as you with the description of how to use the Circle of 5ths. Bravo!

  • Back in the dark ages, before you could just google the chords for a song, I used to pick up songs directly from the radio or records using this method. But how do you tell what key a song is just by listening to it? I would listen to the first note that they sang. For simple pop tunes that almost always worked! What do you think, was I just lucky?

  • He keeps saying "not problem" and it isn't as long as you are looking at the 'circle' but take it away and now there is a problem. Or did I miss something? Nice to see the relationships all laid out though, and I use this when changing keys.

  • Den's a master at simplifying and explaining patterns for the guitar. Both books are excellent (I bought printed copies of each and, no, I'm not affiliated in any way, except being a happy customer who's making some progress with a lot of help from this material.)
