Went to a musicstore with my daughter to check out a guitar for a decent price. No point buying a Strat at this point. I have played guitar for many years and have a Charvel and an old Squier from Japan that is great.

I have two GIOs. One is a 6 string and the other is my first 7 string.
I really feel like GIOs get a lot of unnecessary hate nowadays. 15 years ago, yeah. They weren't about much. Poor QC was common back then. But, today? They're some of the best bang for your buck guitars on the market. They are phenomenal as a first instrument for anyone who wants to learn guitar, and they're also more than capable of being gig worthy. They're a single setup away from playing just as well as anything in Ibanez's standard model lines.
I only have two questions. Can you tap with it? Does it have unbearable buzz when you play power chords
