It’s a fifth down
Anyone know where I can find the schematic?
I dont know anything about theory
What's the Uni-Vibe Funky Vibe looking pedal?
Fuzzes are beautiful little creatures
That’s what Hendrix was doing!! Wow!!
When you only have 1 finger and you always wanted to play cords
The Subharmonic series is what you are hearing. Harmonics are whole number multiples of the fundamental and go up 2x 3x 4x 5x 6x 7x 8x 9x etc R 5 r 3 5 b7 r 2 3 #4 etc SubHarmonics are whole number fractions of the fundamental and go down 1/2x 1/3x 1/4x 1/5x etc Its the same intervals as the harmonic series but going down below the fundamental. Transposed above the root the series is: R 4 r m6 4th 2 r b7 m6 b5 etc The 2nd subharmonic is an octave plus a 5th down so its the 4th of the scale that you were hearing. The 1st and 2nd subharmonic (4th and root) alternating being loudest. Sort of fighting for dominance.. Its sweet how Saturation and fuzz can make harmonics and subharmonics pop out some times! And then the subharmonics can have overtones of their own. And of course the interferance between 2 notes together makes resulting notes too. and these notes can be any note it seems.. as its the interferance pattern. Fun to carefully bend one of the notes and hear the the interferance growl go dive bombing down… BTW The very last note in this video has a m6 (c natural) subharmonic that is audible as well. Check out Negative Harmony Covers!! Its harmony transposed from the harmonic series to the subharmonic series.
Thanks if read all of this 🙂 Subharmonics DO appear in nature IMO
That's pretty cool!
That is a sweet surprise! For that 4th chiming in and your reaction, I watched several times. So cool.☺❤????????
Sounds like the dirtiest part of my ass
Cool, but I think most people are misunderstood about fuzz, or voltage. But to me it's the single worst sound in history. Lol. The intent has been destroyed by the marketing and the original sound was complimented with a particular amp and midrange. Now it sounds like yuk and not a guitar tone.
Wait… you’re telling me that adjusting the knobs on a pedal changes the sound? Get out!
Hi, can I have that guitar? Pretty please? ????
Rhett you're always helping us and sharing new stuff. You're alright!
Whoooaah cool man
Yeah some power supply platforms have the adjustable voltage control for just that feature I'm using a little known FF circuit…. it's a Fuzz Phoenix EXP fuzz CV 7003 transistor Half dead battery is perfect I'm not a big fuzz user either but I like this one better than all the hyped up ones by the better known builder's There isn't even a demo of it that I can find and that unusual.. I've tried about a dozen fuzz's mostly Fuzz Face circuits so thinking I need to find a good Muff clone Supposedly Jimi used a Fuzz Face and early EH prototype together on his last recordings from what Eddie Kramer stated in an interview
bro, when are you going to make original albums
Technically that's down a perfect 5th from the note you're playing, but it's a 4th up from the sub octave note. Semantics. Sounds dope
You need the jhs pedal that simulates a dying battery for a super refined version of this.
What guitar is that
So cool
This tone and sound (in general) really reminds me of Smashing Pumpkins' Siamese Dream.
Wow it's Magic
I'm pretty sure that's something known.
Ohh my God the electric wizard tone I've been searching for
Wow. I would really like to see a circuit analysis of what's actually happening there. Maybe a a topic for a collaboration?
Kinda cool that Rhett still turns his own pedal knobs and doesn’t have an assistant or something doing it. Such a down to earth dude imo.
Sounds bad.
What is that guitar?
Man wants to be Clapton so bad with those dockers ????????????
96 Rock! The best Atlanta radio station of the 80s and 90s.
This sort of thing is why fuzz is my favourite. Lots of fun to be had
Muso at work
That fan appears mighty close to the top of the ladder
Actually it’s a fifth below but I guess pretty much same difference. I’ll give it to ya ol’ chap.
✌️????????
damn we can get into some interesting modal jazz with 4ths now ????
Sounds like down a 5th to me. As opposed to up a 4th.
Gary Clark IV
Guitar model?
So Rhett thanks for bringing it to my attention. But the Greek is pronounced hi-faye-shus. Clever use of names
Is that the Hepatitis C or B ?
My name is Zach
