I still prefer the old DD3. That's enough delay that i need. I don't need it too airy and spacious like this one. This is more of a reverb pedal with echo. I do not like too much echo but i like a subtle reverb only.
Nah, mine just sounds like a fart you cant trust. Dont think its a skill issue, because believe me, I can fart.

Can’t really hear it because you don’t stop playing.. can’t hear the tail by itself.
Might need an echo pedal instead of having someone be next to the amp to turn the effects nob when the echo-ey part comes on
