Another great story! I really liked the sound examples — they made the different switching options much clearer and demonstrated the amp's sound characteristics really well.
The led clipping push pull is on the master volume.the preamp gain control goes from "clean" to rhythm clip .the best feature of the 2550 and 2555 is the range and voicing of the tone controls.bought a 2555(black levant,gold control panel) new in the box in '88 obtained the 2550 used,very clean in '94.still have both,modded to run 6550's or KT88's.they are within 100 serial numbers of each orher.Glorious.
have you guys ever used the Chris Stapleton edition 62 Princeton? such a good amp for getting his outlaw country tone! I have the amp myself but I really want a solid tonex capture, would you guys ever get your hands on one to do a bundle?
I own the 100w and the 20w. It’s my all time favourite amp. It’s just amazing.
Used on Helloweens Keeper part 2. Have the original 1987 too. Fantastic amp! Prefer it over my EVH Stealth even for high gain stuff.
