  • I bought the Mood MKII, think I could use it like a looper. I was way off, it’s a cool pedal for someone who loves to experiment. I thought I’d be able to record easy and freeze chords. I’ll be returning it, then remembered they had this. However after watching this video I think I’ll keep looking. I do love my wombtone pedal though.

  • You had a little piece of skin hanging off your left thumbnail,, I couldn't take any of this seriously ????

  • I have this and the habit. They are music blenders if you push too many buttons you will get mush. I always feel like I’m on the cusp of something really cool but never quite get there. They’re fun but disappointing. I still feel like I just haven’t figured them out yet but I think that might be their nature.

  • Love the channel, great work!
Is the blooper usable for resampling as well, or am I better off with something else?

  • Hello, please tell me. I had a power outage and after that my Blooper started not working properly. At first it did not pass the signal, but after that it got better, but the Stability knob when turned on i.e. Turning to the right when recording a loop or overlay mode began to produce noise, the hissing disappears when you turn off this function and turn to the left. What could it be? Help me please.

  • Think of it as an instrument….it is.

Also use it with other loopers to feed other layered loops into it, then manipulate them with modifiers and layering.

  • I am really having trouble liking/using their pedals in general. I like verbs so thought the mood mki would be cool to scoop when it was being discontinued, but I have found it more difficult than the ELEKTRON workflow to learn completely how to find all these functions and figureout how all this stuff is working based on lights and diffrent toggle and dip positions.
Their stuff seems to be for people making mostly glitchy noise or ambient guitar.
I like FXs that make things sound better, not worse.

  • I actually crowdfunded the Blooper, and it did what it promised (made the digital equivalent of Basiniski Disintegration loops!), but as something to use like in a guitar type scenario, it fails. It requires too much interactive nob fiddling, and you can only really work with a handful of loops if you are taking it live.

  • Excellent overview – exactly as stated in title and exactly what I was looking for. Well articulated and explained with great examples and metaphors.
First of your videos I’ve seen … definitely not the last, as of course I’m subbing.

  • best review for any music gear i have ever seen. immediately subscribed. I love that you aren't screaming at me or giving me a bunch of unnecessary information. Just facts and personal opinions and no filler. thank you.

  • Still hesitating between The Blooper, the Aeros Lopp Studio and the Black Box by 1010 music. Il like to see the sample's waveforms for editing, but as you say, without the visual you keep focusing on sounds/ideas.

  • Nice video. This feels a lot like my experience with the Chase Bliss Thermae. Its a phenomenal sounding analog delay, but the added pitch shifting features are difficult to get anything musical out of, while at the same time, being a LOT of fun to play with. It also was a very expensive pedal, and I have been tempted to sell it a number of times…. and yet I still own it.

  • Thanks for this great review! Using the layers function, do you think this pedal can work with multiple input sources to create a thicker collage or composition, perhaps via a selector switch to alternate between a synth and a guitar? I know folks say for multi-instrument composition and performance, something like the Boss RC 505 is better suited, especially since it has dedicated volume per track controls etc, but the effects are bad! And I'm on a budget and looking for something that could at least make manipulation AND multi-instrument / sound source collaging possible.

  • This video is fantastic, really great. It looks great, you have a very clear voice and all in all it was just a good experience, thank you 🙂

  • At the beginning of this video you said your channel has grown to over 18k… just watched it today and it's almost at 28k (27.3). Wow! You're doing something right, keep it up!

  • I wish we could listen more the sound ideads and examples you are exposing in the video. To be fairly honest with you, I have issues to follow on your videos because of the too big amount of chatting it involves. Instead letting the music speaks could let the audience breath and understand what you are trying to express.
    Cheers mate ????

  • as with all their pedals though, it begs the question: is it really worth that steep price?

  • I found that my perspective changed when using it and it made making music fun again. I’d been a preset junkie for years, just not thinking about sound design as something I had the time for. Then I got the blooper and I felt like a kid again, tweaking guitar pedals was in a way how I got into music production. I’d forgotten how much fun it was to get lost in the sound design aspect of making music. There’s a really interesting video from Andrew Huang where he talks about how important it is to separate sound design sessions from producing sessions. It’s not only practical but therapeutic in my experience.

  • Hello, please could you tell me if this pedal has stereo inputs and outuputs? Thanks

  • I got my Blooper a couple weeks ago and for me it was instant gratification, love at first sight! It makes an otherwise dull loop into something that feels alive, so much character is added with its modifiers and stability knob. Some aspects are just plain fun, like using it as a wacky effect-filled delay (in additive mode things get really crazy) but I will soon be approaching it as a composition tool, which will take some figuring out but not impossible.
It’s tied for first favorite with Microcosm on my board.

  • Chase Bliss Audio needs to have a software division in their company imagine all their pedals available in plug-ins…game over.

  • I like your “who is this pedal for” description. I think that pretty accurately describes Blooper in a nutshell. If you are someone looking for a more traditional looping device look elsewhere I think. Blooper (like MOOD) is more about exploration, improvisation and enjoying the journey.

  • When you talk about your kids playing with play-dough and then the quick clip, "one big pile of shit", was perfect, you got a like out of me just for that but I also agree with your opinions and thoughts here.

  • It did not take me long to fall out of favor with the Blooper. To your point, its an issue with structure, or better said for me, repeatability for use as a song part. Im not capturing blooper into a sampler. Im wanting to find settings that create a song part then use the pedal at the time of the part. Thats clearly not what this pedal is for stand alone. All this said, I did not order the Mood. As far as I can tell in videos, it will help me create repeatable textures for song parts. I should say that Im playing an electric guitar into an amp and my goal with these pedals is to create songs and use the same gear to play live. I say all that because I dont really have a way to do sampling while I play guitar. I can turn on and off pedals, which is why the MOOD or something that helps create layers or textures works well. Thanks for the video!

  • Thanks for this review, i saw the thumbnail and thought "not quite my tempo" -> which was exactly my experience with the blooper. Its very nice in terms of effects and possibilities, but recording a loop, and using it in a dawless setup, was tough for me, in terms of syncing and the way the loop retriggers (with a pause in between). At the end, I sold it.
