He's #1 hands down
I hate the band so much. Overhyped crap.
I wasn't fully appreciative of him/them at the time. Incredible musicianship.
He is a musical genius! I just watched him perform in Pittsburgh PA and watched him perform closely his energy is crowd pleasing, and his creative style is so fresh! He is number 1 on my list for sure!
Plus he looks like the serial killer in the Robert Mann "Manhunter" movie in the 80's ❤
No doubt the DeLeo brothers where magnificent – Roberts bass hook on "Sex Type Thing" was the first song I ever heard by the Epic Band and I was hooked – plus (and this isn't important really) but he just has a style when he plays that looks totally 'that cats choppin'
Deleo is a magic man
#1 of the '90s for me.
Absolutely deserving of the #3 spot
Rob DeLeon is one of the MOST underrated musicians of the 90s, dude can play anything, his playing is amazing, everybody else is playing at 30,000ft while Rob is all the way in space. Plays bass, guitar, piano, wrote so many of STPs classic lines, and not just bass but guitar as well.
I totally agree……..
Robert é um grande baixista , e ainda toca piano , violão clássico , guitarra , back vocal , o cara é muito bom ,, é um musicista completo ????
Definitely an underrated bassist. Some of the best bass lines written.
One of the most underrated guys ever.
This is absolutely one of the best bass players of my generation or the next.
As enjoyable to play along to as listen to
????????????????
Chris Joannou of Silverchair deserves this spot. He’s incredibly slept on!! Their final album was weak, but every album prior to that was a masterpiece.
I think he himself is or was the core of STP
Ridiculous
Saw them live in P hx with my ex wife.
Definitely top 3
Caught them on 4, opening for RHCP. STP owned the place.
Tremendous musician/artist in every sense of the word. His chops and feel on the bass is second to none but what he does melodically for the song just elevates things to a whole new level. Robert DeLeo is amazing (and so is Dean)
