Journey – Don’t Stop Believing (Bass cover with tabs)

Originally released as a single from their seventh studio album “Escape” in 1981 this song is built around one of pop music’s most common chord progression.
The I-V-VI-IV-Progression (in E major E-B-C#m-A) can be heard in thousands of pop- and rock songs (e.g. “Beast Of Burden” – Rolling Stones, “No Woman No Cry” – Bob Marley, “So Lonely” – The Police). In “Don’t Stop Believing” the I-V-VI-V is combined with the variation I-V-III-IV to form a repetitive 8-bar progression. Unlike other songs the real chorus of this song is not heard until 3:21 min. The great piano pattern serves as a “hook” throughout the song and makes it catchy although.
