Brad are you using any type of noise gate in post? Asking bc this thing sounds super quiet even when you have the gain on both channels up at 3 or 4
o'clock.
I saw the inside and saw poor resistors and parts, only 4 of the 6 pots are for screw and the others??? What you're waiting for $59??????

Ok just nabbed one from OfferUp yesterday for $45 bucks! Had to get it because of the name, it will be going on my praise and worship board! Jesus is truly the King of kings!✊???????????????? I will also be using the Joyo Vision modulation pedal as it pairs up well aesthetically with the KOK. EHX organ pedal for when the keyboard player stays home, Keeley Caverns for delay/ reverb and the Joyo American Sound as the amp/ cab sim out to a DI box to FOH. Killer!

The only bad thing about the pedal is the chrome-plated plastic knobs. Sounds fantastic. I’m sure the switches are cheap and will break so you’ll need a good cheap tech to fix it.

I wondered about the Joyo KoT clone before, Brad, it seems like a smart buy for players on a budget to me. I picked up a Canadian made KoT clone at 12th Fret Music in Boise used for $40, it sounds absolutely like the real thing, and the guts are extremely faithful to the original as well, internal DIP switches and all. High gain option on both sides, the whole deal. There are no magical circuits, people who don’t get the basics of electrical engineering seem to have a real magical way of thinking about audio gear, including many of my favorite players. Now I’m just chirping…

I bought my kot from a kid who decided he no longer needed a kot and that his reissue ts9 did the job I got the kot the box instructions and all for $150.00 aud I was happy
I snagged a minty fresh Caline CP-70 Dual Overdrive a while back for $32. Sounds fantastic! I don't own any Analogman gear but I got plenty of Joyo pedals. They make great effects!

Drive pedals are basically spices on the spice rack. The KOT thing is for flippers. The rest of us just need to get on with it. The Tauren pedal also sounds interesting.
Hahaha… A JOYO "California Sound" (Mesa preamp clone) pedal is the heart of my overdrive tone. Absolutely KILLS with a clean boost in front of it.
