  • JESUS this pedal has no right to go as hard as it does
Never knew the name of the effect until today, this goes crazy

  • The phaser seems to do the same if not more. Idk what I'm missing. Flanger perhaps uses more of the tone vs phaser adding more sci Fi effect.

  • One of the first pedals I ever bought. Hadn’t used it in years, I tested it out recently and it sounds beautiful with my MIM Fender J

  • Chastise me all you want, in my experience, this is the sickest flanger I've used. Has all I need, nothing I don't. You have great control over the parameters and can really hone in a good swirl. And, like every Boss I've used, they may sound a little sterile when your playing at home by yourself, but the results are very audible in the mix.

  • Creo que elegiste los peores seteos al hacer este video, deberías rehacerlo, este pedal se lo merece. Saludos.

  • I am pretty sure that the BF-3 is an awesome flanger but I cannot seem to find a setting that works for me.

Let's think of the modulation as a sine wave.
For me it sounds like the top half of the wave form is running out of headroom and gets squared off which makes it sound like it would disappear.
I guess the root of the problem is an applicational error on my side, I cannot figure out how the res-, manual- and and depth knobs interact with each other…

(as far as I know the res knob is responsible for setting the center frequency,
depth is pretty much self-explanatory [as I understand it would set the amplitude in this example]
and the manual knob would set the starting point of the modulation [how far it moves from or to the center frequency])

Maybe you guys or some commentors can give me some advice :
Cheers and thanks in advance ^^

  • dude, can you help me? I'm looking for an effect to make my bass sound big and trippy, so I really can't decide between the BF-3, Blurst, MXR Micro Flanger and the Dirty Robot :/
