Donner Jet Convolution Flanger Guitar Effect Pedal review

A review of the Donner Jet Convolution Flanger Guitar Effect Pedal. I am playing it with a Tokai Love Rock Japan LS-75 guitar and using the dirty channel of my Mesa Boogie Lone Star Classic 212 combo amp.

  • Battery? No fooling’!

Seriously, this competes nearly 100% with the Mooer E-Lady, or, for some extra fun take a peek at the Mooer Jet Engine. (I have all three, just wonderful pedals!)

  • The Caline CP66 seems to be a more pronounced flange, but I'm not sure. Any thoughts?

  • It helps more if you play short bursts of the same phrase and show us how the pedal affects the sound

  • I love mine on bass, but just a warning to all that want this, I experienced some thinning of my sound a a bit of a volume drop

  • Nice demo thanks. I have one of these that I've hardly used…just put it back on my pedalboard this morning. You got some really good sounds out of it. Nice bit of Cult going on there too????.

  • This would have been far more useful if you'd demonstrated the pedal with a clean tone. If you could follow up with a video along those lines it would be greatly appreciated. Please also address noise issues and if the True Bypass really is True Bypass.

  • You might have just sold me on this pedal. Trying to decide between this and Mooer's Elec Lady.
Props for the Rush and Collective Soul licks in the review as well. Sounded good, man.

  • I have a few questions about the functions of the Donner Jet Convolution.

Near the beginning, you say that the range knob controls the rate of the flange effect, and that the color knob controls the depth. Shouldn't the range knob control the depth, and the rate knob control the rate? I would suppose that "color" is a tone knob?

Also, what is the difference between the filter and normal modes of the switch?

Thanks for the review! It's great for prospective purchasers like me to hear these things in action! Keep it up!
