He brushed aside the Dp3x. I’m not a metal guy at all and I definitely found this useful for just about any musical genre. When you bring the “mix” in you can easily use the chunk on a lower dial for clean sound and turn it clockwise to bring in overdrive. He messed with it for two minutes. You can’t understand a pedal in that amount of time. I’ve had it for a year and am still finding possibilities. Also the same guy that used compression on his signal while reviewing bass compressors. Could hardly tell what the pedals sounded like engaged.
Got the DP 3x. Absolutely love it. In my gigs, I have to genre hop a lot…it more than did the job. Tuner and compression work great…going to add a wah and that will more or less finish what I need.
I just use my HB American Tone. 29 Bucks.

The truth of the matter is, the best Bass EFX is to play solidly with no EFX and let the guitarist wank with pedals as guitarists do.
