  • I bought one a month ago for $180 new. I’m beginner level. I compared this to others in its price range this was the winner. The scale length and solid spruce top really set it apart from the other budget guitars. I would like to replace the nut and saddle with bone but I’m not sure it’s worth spending the money on.

  • Hey brother John, I'll possibly buy this parlour guitar, how is the action, Is it decent?

Just bought another guitar and the action is high, hoping this guitara action is fine and it is playable, I'd love to hear your answer on what you found ????

  • My house burnt down last month, and along with the house was my Indiana Scout six string acoustic ID had, played an loved for a decade. After the dust settled, so to speak, and I got into a new apartment, I went online… Facebook market place looking for a replacement guitar. Found a Fender Cp 60s, and just couldn't quite agree on a price. I had mentioned that I was just tight in finances with the house fire, and thanked him for his time. The next morning I got a message from the fella to come downstairs and get this guitar. I reminded him it was out of my price range and he handed it to me and said pay it forward one day. Got in his truck and left. I'm not ashamed to say I had tears in my eyes at that moment. I love this guitar and play it probably three to five hours every day. Great damn guitar!

  • -NICE guitar.. sounds great… full-sounding… solid top, comfortable to play, 20 frets, and deep enough body for full bass sound

  • I like this one, I picked up a Gretch Jim Dandy which I love, but would like to pick one of these up at some point, for the same price as the JD this one offers a solid top, which the JD does not. SOunds pretty nice here too.

  • Thanks for the good review . Got a good idea of what it really sounds like . Appreciate that .Have you ever played an Epiphone El 00 Pro , and if so , any thoughts on how this compares ?

  • The neck sold me, and unlike the others out there the neck joint at the 14th gives you more real estate to move your fingers to.

  • I bought one for a few reasons, one thing I noticed is the thickness of the body over some others, it really throws the sound better.

  • I wanted this guitar too but I hate that I have to change out the saddle and nut to something better than plastic. NuBone sounds okay imo. This is a nice guitar though, all you have to do is change those parts and it will make a huge difference in the resonance and performance

  • Hi. How is the action out of the box? I'm buying this for a house guitar for everybody to be able to play on and my girlfriend need a relatively low action. Hard to find info on that. Thanks!

  • Got mines a week ago and I keep looking at it thinking it looks small. I think it’s just because it’s my first guitar or something idk

  • Thanks for sharing! Can you please tell me what the width of the lower bout is? And how deep is it from front to back? I can't find that info on the websites I've looked at. Thanks!

  • Excellent review, and a proper appraisal of the instrument. Very, very helpful. Thank you, sir for your matchless presentation of a simple and tidy run through of a guitar product. Just as if I had gone into the store, and did the same kind of test myself. You have saved me a lot of thinking, a lot of shoe leather, and I've been able to make a purchase decision for this very guitar, based on your fine video.
Best of luck on your other reviews! I've given you an instant thumbs Like, & I've subscribed. ciao.

  • For a $120 it must have been used or a class b unit. Sounds good. Like the parlor size.

  • I just started and I am learning the cowboy chords currently, I can’t wait to play like you! So talented!!

  • Not mentioned is that this guitar has the same scale length as the $2,800 Gibson J-45!!!! It's much easier to play. Only took me 50 years to figure this out. Hope it helps anyone! Ps: I just bought the Gibson. May buy this one too!!!

  • Do you know what radius the fretboard is? Is it perfectly flat, or a little curved?

Also, Fender says it has an "easy-to-play neck shape." Does it feel thick or thin?

  • I think you play very nicely, most especially the gentle intonations which show a more nuanced skill set.

Thank you so much for taking the time to demo this parlor guitar!

    Questions, if you have time….

    1) How is the action? Was it low when it arrived?

    2) Were the frets sharp?

Since we're in the midst of a global pandemic right now and we're still required to "shelter in place", I can't get to a luthier for at least another month, maybe longer.

Thanks, again, for taking the time to record and post a review!

  • I wish it was satin like cp100. Not really into glossy finish. But it sounds killer for the money.
