I love that, but I’ve got a problem with the pan of slide notes. So I must use the mono source and then I have to process the track through a plugin as Wider (or similar).

Sounds familiar, I roll the dice many times daily with Bass Upright, Addictive Drums 2, improvising on Moddart Pianoteq. No DAW.
