Man, honestly…nothing you touch can sound bad…fantastic playing and note choices and overall musicality in every video…your dynamics, feel and melodic groovy playing is out of this world…btw if you remember we have discussed tube drives for bass previously(TS9B, Bad Monkey, some Beta pedal etc)…i have gotten exactly what i wanted from an Ibanez TS9b paired with my Aria Pro II bass(instant Cliff Burton sound from Master of Puppets album, there are many isolated bass tracks to compare with…this combo nailed it in my case)
Recorded with an old phone so its not a great audio quality but check it out if you will…thanks for all the demos, you certainly helped with my decisions

I have this and the Super Fuzz, with the BOD set to about 1/4 dirty and all treble no bass, and the SF set to boost all bass no treble. Very good sounds.
Grazie grazie grazie! A super review of this pedal, so direct, well expressed, fun and professional!! Ciao from Rome!
Great tunes! Thanks for the review.
Great review…yes its housing is not durable but sounds really good
I’m playing some Muse covers and bought this pedal after watching this great review!
Follow it w/a tube screamer or a bright boost like the 33– fun!
Thanks man! I'm just gearing up in my new country (Germany). Bought a decent 2nd hand amp (Ashdown MAG300) yesterday so I've been looking for an overdrive pedal with what little money I have left. This looks like just the thing.
I'm surprised but not surprised. I recently bought the Behringer Super Fuzz after watching some great reviews and comparisons and I absolutely love it. I've got the OD in my shopping cart right now and very close to hitting that Buy button. Should I go for it?
I have this video and your Boss ODB-3 on separate tabs and I really should have done this sooner. BOD400 has more low end and the ODB-3 has more treble but doesn't sound as full like the BOD400. My bass as an active onboard preamp so maybe that could push more treble through the BOD400 and more bass and mids through the ODB-3? I like the Boss' fizz, but I like Behringer's cleaner tone too.
If I had to choose between the two of them, I'd pick the BOD400. Though I'd rather keep looking for a overdrive that does both subtle and overt with adjustable fizz. Maybe I'm wanting to have my cake and eat it too. I don't know, I'll keep looking.
Thank you for review! Enjoyed playing.
Forget the pedal…are those original Compositions?????!! Amazing. Sounds like the Mars Volta or something
Can you review the MXR M89 bass overdrive please.
Is this a direct clone of the boss odb3?
Much too "pinched nose" for me. I guess anyone could hear himself playing through this pedal but I'mnot sure it would be this pleasant. However, the last clip sounds quite good and definitely good refered to the price.
Not good at all for my taste. I don't mind about the housing, it just sounds thin and "fake" in my ears. But there are many overdrives that sound similar and cost way more! So if you are into these sound-tone, you can buy it used and rehouse it and you are good.
Deeecent… I'm surprised!
After watching this video, I think that Behringer could've made more profit off this range of pedals if they just marketed them differently.
Instead of presenting them as a "budget option", they could've mame them "Punk range" or "Grunge", to excuse that "unrefined but funcional sound" you talked about. Keep the plastic housing, print some edgy design on them and there you go. 70 dollars apiece ????
