  • Great example and explanation. Thank you so much for breaking this down. I have played for many years – and some big gigs. I’ve played thousands of tunes – but Was never really confident when it came to doing some “melodic” solo moments. Today it started to “click”
    Thank you so much!

  • 1. What if the chord changes really really fast? What if we play just one chord tone for every 2 chords?
    2. Then, what if we convert all the chord to the dominant chord so just play the dominant scale?

    Thank you man

  • I was kinda struggling with soloing over changes and the idea of thinking of all the scales I could use in each chord when building licks and stuff hahah I watched many videos and lessons and it was always leading me this wayBut this method is very helpful and your explanation was good and clearThanks a lot for that! You saved my jazz gigs hahah

  • I love your vision on how to explain things especially this one. I have played bass for 30 years and just started few years ago listening on YouTube to different one advice on how to do this and that but get lost in what they are trying to say. You nailed !!!

  • Thanks for the video. I am trying to learn bass and this makes sense to me. Could I use this approach in non jazz music? (worship) But then it seems the destination would be the root.
    Thanks for any help.
