Headrush MX5 – Creating a Bass Rig

In this video I will be creating a Bass rig from scratch with the mx5.
Hopefully this will show you how easy and quick it is to create a good sounding right with the MX5.

If you want to hear what the Headrush Rigs sound like in a full mix feel free to check out my music videos as I use Headrush FX in all my songs.

If you want to see me and my friend Ian go through the same process of creating a doom metal rig check this link out below

  • nice video i did learn some, just wish the ISO on the pedal cam was a bit lower, it's kinda hard to see a lot of the information

  • Hi, great vid, thanks for sharing. I like the sound of Celestion bn15-300x. It is specially made for headrush, or I can by the normal one on their site?

  • Thanks for the video, I was having a hard time getting a round and smooth tone without the pic attack and bite, I finally found the “bass eq” and it put all the low end back into my amp and the wet dry option made the tri fuzz mix awesome! Keep rocking brother

  • Thanks for the cool review Francis! ???? The pedal is a beast considering the size and the price point! I'd like to see the classic stereo combination for a bass rig with clean amp with loads of low end and dirty amp with more highs and mids to cut through if possible! Cheers ????

  • I have had a psychic prediction from the very near future Francis LOL I predict that the versatility of this unit, as a tool for both live and studio work, is soon going to take on a whole new level of depth and fun! If you had said to almost any of us 40 years ago that one day we'd have all out favourite amps, both Bass and Guitar, and Acoustic, and all our favourite Cabs, and all our favourite effects, in a unit weighing as much as a small rack mounted delay and including a wah-style pedal that does more than just wah??? We'd have suggested they calm down, seek some therapy, or stop taking all those pills LOL. Hoverboards here we come!

  • Big question: does this have PC software (interface) to control settings or do you have to use the onboard controls. I haven’t seen any videos about software.

  • Cool, but limited bass selections. Why I kind of retired the Spark, Ampeg, and Rumble for recording and went with the AmpliTube plug in. Can run 3 different amps off one signal and get all crazy with it! They really nail it when it comes to all the Ampegs and Fender Bass amps! (they have Acoustic etc. too) I usually run an SVT, Portaflex, and a Bassman 300 at the same time and add various pedals to a couple of them for wet/dry.
