Eh she was just a session musician. Brian wrote the bassline and she couldnt get it. Got frustrated. IIRC Carl had to do it for her.

Like others already said, Carol Kaye did NOT play on the released version of Good Vibrations (only in sessions); Lyle Ritz (Upright Bass), Bill Pitman (Dan Electro Bass) Ray Pohlman (Fender Bass), and Arthur Wright (Fender Bass) did. It’s also important to say that Brian Wilson composed the entire song: Carol had nothing to do with the bass line itself.
Carol Kaye is great but didn't end up playing on the released version of Good Vibrations (nore composed the line, Brian Wilson did). There are 3 bass players on the song Lyle Ritz, Bill Pitman and Ray Pohlman that deserve credit too.

Ok mark can i have my p bass back now????? I'm guessing yours is real vintage..mine looks exactly the same but it's a 1999 fender Hot Rod bass…the P that thinks it's a jazz bass..NOTHING matches a P bass period!

You've gone to great lengths to reproduce Kaye's playing style and technique, but neglected to add that Gold Star Echo.
