The In Waves album is definitely one of my favourite tones ????????
Dude what's wrong with you? Where's Carcass' Heartwork?
6505+ to go !
Got myself a 6534+ used for 800
Bucks. Without a boost it’s cool but with a boost it’s killer
Burn my eyes and The more things change are peak 5150 tones
Frenzal Rhomb – Sans Souci – 5150ii
From The Unforgiving Arms Of God by END is one of my favourite tones ever. Raw 5150 through a 6×12 with a swollen pickle in front? Chefs kiss.
I think on shogun they used 6505 too, and to me that was better than in waves
Learned that basically, peavey copied the circuitry from a soldano hot rod that EVH had.
Which makes sense cause i love my Peavey 5150s but when i got a soldano…..its a cleaned up 5150…..meaning there is way less hiss
But i got a voodoo mod Peavey 5150 ($800 from GC) and that thing is killer.
Its well worth the upgrade if youre serious about your tone. If not……..just keep your gain at 2 oclock and for funks sake………stop putting a dam OD. You got a bass player for that low end
Burn my eyes best of the bunch. Most of those choices are djent conveyor belt crap
Machine head Burn my Eyes is THE 5150 tone. When that album first came out I was like what is THAT sound. And of course now we all know. Lol
The Black Dahlia Murder has to make this list.
Children of Bodom’s first album Something Wild was recorded with 5150 + Marshall 1960a
That unforgiven arms of God album cover just startled me ????
The leads for in waves was the 6534+ but the rhythm was a 5150
Burn my eyes got me sold on the 5150. Still got my 5150II after 2 decades. Still love it.
Peavey is the best high gain to me
Just bought a 6505+ combo with v30 upgrade. Can’t effing wait to get it.
In waves is my fave. It's a little "processy" but it hits.
I'm a BFMV fan
I seek 5150
Simple!
Erra’s debut album Impulse uses the 5150. Great album as well
Creatures by Motionless In White used 6505
the numbers of records using 5150/6505 amps are just long like a day without bread
Eh!
More of these
Ngl the Scream Aim Fire guitar tone is goated.
I wasn't expecting to see He is Legend in here, I love their tones.
Idk… Clayman was a blend of a Peavey 5150 and a Marshall (hybrid) amp. In Flames blended amps on all their albums.
What else is crazy is Machine Head used the Crunch channel (with a Boss SD-1).
So many awesome albums made with those, yet I personally never got along with them..
(Just the Butcher and XXXII.)
end definitely tried to make guitar dubstep
Yo esperando "my dying bride"????
Come on bro you can't leave out the guy that made this amp famous
Jerry Cantrell’s main riff to Sludge Factory by AIC was also recorded on a 5150
Fun fact: White Bat (which you had in your rectifier video like this) was tracked with the same 5150 II with a precision drive! My old band tracked at the same studio, shout out Al at Warrior Sound!
please more like that!
6505s on the ascendancy album by Trivium is my personal pick
Chimaira Impossibility of Reason would be on my list of favorite 5150 tone bands. And any of the Black Dahlia Murder Albums
Fair guess that a FAVORITE VOX AC30 TONES short is in the works????????????????????????
Nice to eee trivium in here :'D
Clayman is the album I thought of first when I saw 5150. What a great tone. ????????
YOOOO big props throwing END in the mix!!!
Carcass – “Heartwork” has got to be the greatest 5150 tone of all time
No Carcass Heartwork?!?
Peavey gear is garbage.
Both damn Yankees records. Sorry. Love uncle ted on those.
Can you do a Revv short
