NUX MG-300 MK II (Dirt Cheap Modelling Pedal)
Budget gear I recommend (affiliate link): https://redir.love/thocf/r9mtambedi
Today it’s a modelling guitar processor by NUX, the MG-300 MK II. It’s really affordable and comes with all sorts of bells and whistles, such as a looper and a drum machine.
I hope you enjoy!

geez … remember multi-effects before amp models and cab and mic sims … it might not be that great, but 35 years ago, that would have been alien tech, from the planet of kick ass.
Man you should review the kramer baretta special. I would love to hear your thoughts on that guitar ❤
I agree about complaints. If you're going to complain, then provide a solution along with it or SHUT UP!
I like that you have no fear of gonking notes in front of people, makes me a little more fearless getting in front of them, cause I’m like a gonking fool out there sometimes… 🙂
I think you need to hear them both. For example, I bought a spark 40, based on what I heard on a review, it was just factory presets, but the sounded pretty decent for a little practice amp and I was happy with. Spark two came out and the review I watched could not have been the factory presets, because they’re terrible on the Spark 2, in fact even though the state a firmware update fixed it, I still hear the popping, or crackling noise occasionally.
Try Mooer pe 100
This why I don't do long demos…My comparative lack of skills. Lovely chops as always boss. x
Yes please to a comparison. I have a NUX Mighty Space amp. It's good for home practice and I do use the looper and drum machine. They're fun.
However, on the occasions when I gig, it's not an option.
Hi.
For 150 euros isn't bad.
Then there're better options with more budget.
Elmo, you must have access to my bank account(s). There appears to be a direct relationship between the volume of effect videos you produce, and the endless remains in these accounts … 😉 Where in your breakroom is the suggestion box?
Try Mooer F15i Li? It’s brand new and promising practice amp.
Not a complaint but funnily NUX actually has content creators to do some of the presets on these units so they are supposed to be decent but who knows.
Nice review again. It could be a way of cleaning up your pedalboard. Certainly interested in other options like this. Keep on keeping on Elmo, it’s appreciated.
I like your reviews, I know Sonicake did send you a more powerful model 1 year ago, I would really love to see your review of the Sonicake Pocket Master though. It's priced at about 59 euros and I am considering to get it instead of upgrading the Amp and getting for example a Mustang LT (since my amp has no effects whatsoever and pretty low gain even when maxed out).
As usual, nicccee one Elmo!
I much prefer just dialing in a few of your own patches for these demos as factory presets never interest me and usually suck.
Rock on geeza!
Hey Elmo
Great review as always
Could you please review the nux mighty lite bt mk 2?
I’m really wanting your opinion on it.
Thank you, my friend. Another fine review.
I LOVE MINE, i use it on the fx return on a tube amp with no ir, downloaded the djent and modern metal amp packs from Choptones and for less than $200 IT SHREDS , for three times that money it shreds imo
Just one advice for you Elmo – do not say your viewers to "go somewhere else". If you want to grow your channel, that is. And do not say your viewers "to make your own videos". Viewers view videos, they do not make them. You got a good thing going on and I really hope that your channel will grow. All the best Elmo!
This sounds very nice for the price. How does it behave inline with an actual amp and cabinet?
no complaints from me !
Great video, Elmo! I love your reviews.
Perhaps you could do the Valeton GP-5 and the Tonex One in the future?
For the price it's really not a bad sounding little unit. The amp sounds aren't bad but where I think the cheaper multi-effects fail is the IRs that come stock with the unit. I could be wrong but having spent quite a lot of time with both processors, software, and amps hooked up to a computer the impulse response makes a mammoth amount of difference in how the amp model presents itself. If companies like NUX, Lekato, etc. would put a little more effort into the impulse responses I think they would be very enticing compared to more expensive units. Great video Elmo! Always love your reviews. Cheers, brother!
????
waiting for appero 2 review. will be fun to see how you try build chain of couple clones ir and reverb trying add drive delay or something like detune. ( hotone must know ….they know )
Wow! I just bought 2nd hand NUX MG-400! Then Elmo dropped this video! 😀 I'm happy about the product because I bought it for a great price!
Hey Elmo! Great video as always.
I have a conclusion that cheaper multiFX are not worth it in 2025.
For 150-200EUR range You can get great combination of pedals (JOYO, MOOER, DemonFX, Behringer) which can blow the mind:
Example:
JOYO Dark Flame for 40EUR – as a modern distortion and for heavier tone – clone of REVV3/4
DemonFX KLON 20EUR – for nice cleans and crunch – clone of haha KLON
JOYO King of Kings – 50EUR – clone of King of Kings
Joyo R-09 Vision Dual Mod – 70EUR – most usable FX with tone blending
Cheapest DemonFX compressor – 15EUR (!) clone of Keeley Compressor Plus
Altogether = 195EUR – could be cheaper if we buy more tahn one from the same store or we find pre-owned on Reverb.
I have combined those effects with supercheap pre-owned Harley Benton Tube 15 with12" inch Celestion speaker and it sounds amazing – cheaper NUX/MOOER/ZOOM sounded MEH.
Of course we may think – is it ethical ect. Is ethical selling stompbox which costs 10EUR to produce for 250-300? Many people will buy OG pedals if ripoffs/clones are good.
PS: Great T-Shirt and this scalloped neck strat is KILLER.All bends sounds damn good. Great fingers.
