  • The saggy bloom is THE point of Fender amps. It's really not until the 800 that Marshalls really started to get tight with minimal power tube sag.

  • flat narrow waves so a Fender can micro bass just a hint of bass and get the same sound but keep on talking bad on Fender the brand that gave Americans a culture lol amps arent British theyre American

  • Marshall amps are based on fender circuits…. It's a closed back 4×12 vx open back with speakers perhaps smaller at 10''. Nothing to do with the amp unless significant headroom difference based on wattage and transformer size.

  • I always found Marshalls sound super compressed, like the sound comes straight out in a line, doesn't fill the room, but I love tons of recordings from people playing them and I like a good British amp. It feels like it has an added eq on top of whatever normal sound your guitar would be making, not just your guitar right through the amp.

  • I had a similar experience! British amps I've tried (Marshall, Vox AC30) had better clarity and definition when overdriven, whereas Fenders I tried sounded muddy to me when overdriven. Just my experiences.

  • Look I gotta be honest. What in the fuck does that mean. There is no delay, any analog amp is firing signal to the speaker at about the speed of light. Are you just feeling that because it's a giant 4×12 cab there's more air moving that your feeling? Because… yeah no fuckin shit.

  • Pretty sure SRV used a Marshall in the earlier part of his career for his clean tone?

  • In reality it's all about close back (Marshall ) vs open back (Fender) cabinets. And of course 100w with BIG transformer is much more responsive too. Anyway nothing to do with the name of your amp ;))
