  • It doesn’t even matter if you have lossless audio selected. Even if you have headphones that support it, 99.9 percent of people cannot tell the difference

  • Absolute rubbish. Change all of those settings and notice no audible difference whatsoever. Digital music is the worst quality since 8 tracks came out.

  • In other news there is absolutely no good reason why you can’t use your purchased music as an alarm with lossless audio quality. They want you to use a lesser quality. Is there anyone that has a good reason why apple would do this. For something as simple as using music you purchased as an alarm. You’ll have to RE-Download all your purchased music in a lower quality just to use them as an alarm. To me this isn’t progress, it’s going in reverse. And it’s like that everywhere.

  • Maybe you need a subscription to get these settings. They’re not in my phone iOS 18.3.1. iPhone 15 pro max. Idk?

  • My headphone is not turning on anymore but I can connect via AUX, please tell me it’s compatible with Lossless

  • Absolutely misleading it’s not as simple as just turning lossless switch on. For iPhone you need to be wired to the headphones to get the lossless quality to work and for that you would probably have to purchase an external LDAC. Also apple does not transmit Bluetooth loss audio so there goes that.

  • You literally can’t use hi res lossless without a DAC amp lol, just use lossless there’s basically no difference

  • Like I get the whole argument of audio quality on Apple Music, but I have some mid beats Bluetooth earbuds (that Apple manufactures) for my everyday listening needs. Lossless files are kinda pointless then, and guarantee you 90% of the Apple Music user base is in the same boat.

The truth of the matter is audio quality and professional quality hardware go hand in hand, and good luck if you find a good headset under $300.

Last but not least, the difference in sound is very slight, and I bet it's more a placebo for most folks than they like to believe.

  • This has completely changed music for me. When I hear music without lossless audio enabled my heart drops to the depths of despair, for I know there’s a greater manner of hearing for which mine ears shall be joyous to receive. Thank you sir Weimer for providing my musical entertainment with a wonderful new revelation

  • Personally I couldn’t tell the difference between lossless and regular high quality for Spotify, it use to have an audio difference but it’s the same now
