A = AC15
B = Pathfinder
I just uploaded a part 2 comparing the amps again! But this time no blind test.
B sounds overall louder (not saying this because of the clipping..if I'm correct the clipping sounds like a grit knob – when I say louder I genuinely mean legitimately louder overall) and B sounds like the EQ was dialed in with a slight mid scoop (which in direct comparison can sound pleasing to untrained ears)
So while everyone is saying B I think I'll go with A….
And if I know my Amps A would pair nicely with a fender pro sonic
You should really consider getting yourself a Mogami Gold instrument cable. It will blow your mind how much better sound quality you’ll get for your videos than that wireless jig.

I always wantes vox amp especially the most affordable one pathfinder. Cuz when i preamp a vox amp with marshall and using high treble with overdrive i got brian may of queen's tone

And also B but you could also just bring up mids and bass see every amp type is kindod the same in its genre but the differences are how much you want to go to "10"
If an amps 12 o'clocks are already bright then 10 is super bright so dont not get an amp just bc it wasnt dark or bassy to start if being chimey is your top priority.
A naturally bassy amp the bass at 10 will be way more than the same brand different model at bass 10 but treble 10 may be less.
You kindof have to do a 12 o'clock comparison.
A by ear match comparison with random knob placements
And 10 crack treble others 12 o'clock comparison
And other for mid
And another for bass
Easiest with 1 chord that has bass notes and chimes and guitar that has normal strings bc string make a big difference.
If you test with super thick or thin strings on a bright or dark amp it can make it too extreme either way.
And pick in the exact same spot. But to save time yes one chord played like a harp slow then one strum to end it. And it makes editing easier. Tone knobs and everything have to be exactly the same.
Lol i wish my day job was cataloging every amp and its voice type not bc i want to but it would make us all know what were buying cuz buying an amp just on looks and hopes is pretty crazy….but thats what typically happens bc there is no tone chart that comes with an amp.
Some amps for example cant react 5 star brightness, and maybe you dont want it to. But with a bridge pickup, thin strings, and tone knob on 10 you will still reach 5 star brightness bc of the guitar you paired it with.
But
The tone is different than a bright amp with a mellow guitar.
The 4 star bright amp CANT have that mellow and bright tone. You see? Where the guitar tone is zero and the neck is played with your thumb so warm but 5 star bright amp is super boosted the highs and not like with eq.
And vice versa with bass and bass quality.
5 star mids and bass has FINAL boss level tones that a super bright amp CANT have. And thats okay.
Big speaker cant do level 10 little speaker stuff and little speaker cant do level 10 big speaker stuff. To put it simply.
B is the Pathfinder because it sounds shit. I have one.
The pathfinder 10 with a sm57 right up against the speaker sounds incredible in a mix. I’d take that over any bigger mushy sounding vox

I know my amp. The B is the Pathfinder because it has a treble cliping and the AC15 is more rich in middle and bass

I just got a pathfinder my second vox amp i had the portable battery one like a roland cube but now im thinking about getting a larger one to run through my cab was thinking to gwt a ac 30 pathfinder sounds better to me than the ac 15

The second one is less clear so I’m guessing it’s not the ac15 and it’s something is a smaller enclosure.

Amp B would sound great but it’s peaking a little bit ☠️
B sounds a little more full. Don't know what kind of sound you're going for. They both sound pretty good. Almost even complimented each other.
B sounds waaay better.
