To anyone who says short scale shouldn't have been the standard (because of string tension), two words:
Thicker strings. ????
Where did u buy finger holder?
Modded……
Hi. Whats the brand of strings that you are using? Thanks
you have aids?
I'm a relatively good bassist. Played for many years. Been very "snobbish" about bass guitars. I looked down on short scale basses and thought that real bass players naturally play long scale.
I've had problems with my (old) hands and tried short scale bass….a Danelectro Longhorn which I now own. Also others…Gibson EB 3 for example. I take back everything I said about short scale bass guitars. Sounds fantastic. Short scale are real basses in their own right. I wish I understood that earlier! The good news is that these days short scales have become more accepted by professionals. New models are made by several fine brands.
Superb demo / review just purchased second hand one and its amazing wee guitar!
What best strings…and right guages for this bass? I bought a s bronco bass (used) but the stock strings are already exhausted…
I like the Bronco Bass from Squier/Fender – in my youtube Chanel you could find a modificated Bronco Bass with sound very nice. ????
I literally just bought this bass new on ebay. Can't wait to get it!
Is this a precision bass or a jazz bass?
It wouldn't sound half this good if the stock pickups were in it.
But it has a hot rail humbucker.
The original pickup is a ordinary single coil Strat pickup.
Just ordered two, one in shell pink and the other in red. I'll change everything on the red one.
The shell pink one is market speculation. Won't be played.
that pickup looks like a Misiclily mini humbucker
Sorry for the question.
But…. What is the model complet of this bass?
What amp do You used???
100?!?!?! I need to get this!
It took me a lot of setup work. A lot of work on the nut, especially. And you really need to take into account what strings you use,. From there, you can follow all of the usual principles for setup, taking into account the relative and peak breadth of each string's resonance. I ultimately use it now with foam at the bridge, that i have adjusted to maximize an evenness of response betrwwen strings.
What I am trying to say is, try out a short scale in a shop, and if you like how light and easy this one is, then you can decide whether to put the work into this one, or just buy a better one.
What strings did you use?
which single coil is this?
I’m transitioning into bass from guitar and I’m thinking about getting this one cuz I honestly haven’t seen so many great reviews about a bass except for this one. Any other tips for finding a new cheap bass or just tips for playing bass?
Great sounding bass! Did you tried it with low tunings? D for example, a whole step down all strings? I really like the size and feel of that neck but I'm worried about down-tuning it and can't tune it or that the strings ends up very flobby… what do you think? a heavier gauge could do the trick? thank you in advance!
great clip, what strings are you using here, great all around tone, thx
Too busy. Here's how to play bass:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFTqVHEJZ0A
Seymour duncun scpb 1, scpb2, scpb3, antiquity and antiquity 2, lindy fralin 51 p bass single coil, true custom shop quarter pounder 51. All these can be used.
How much ?
If u use a picc
U ARE NOT EPICC
Not to mention, short scale basses have that THUMP.
why cant i hear the bass in the mix, turn those drums down a tad man
I picked up a twin rail humbucker on Amazon for $12, on the strength of this video.
Ha!!
THX four the recommendation, great Job, keep it 1AP 🙂
Good sound, naice play, but it's NOT demo sounds.
That's why this bass has a replacement pickup.
I'm sorry but I'm Japanese and not good at English so can't catch all of explanations.
I just ordered this bass!! I LOVE IT
Worst bass i ever owned always gave me problems with the quarter inch plug in failing and coming apart and the volume knobs coming loose
That thing with a darkglass preamp!!!
Very nice demo! I love my Bronco bass, it's a super fun instrument and sounds great too.
I really like the tone! I love the 'focused' feel of that tone
I replaced the stock pickup with a Fender SCN Six Pole Strat pickup from an American Strat and it sounds pretty great. My only problem is that the low E kind of loses energy compared to notes on the other strings.
Stays in tune, sounds good with all kinds of amps and is handy for tracking bass lines in my home demo studio.
Worth getting, absolutely.
waht is the name the song or solo did you playing?
these are fantastic basses.
What pickup did you use?
Do short scale basses use different size strings than full sizes? And If so, does a reliable seller like Ernie Ball sell smaller sized strings like this?
I have a about 17 basses in my collection. I LOVE good inexpensive basses. My Squir Bronco is the best of the best for &150! I modified mine to make it look different, but all the electronics and hardware is the same, ALTHOUGH, I did change the paddles on the tuners to clorver style, but the actual tuning gears are the original
Is it balanced or neck-heavy?
