Does the Rev F from Wavemind capture the true Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier tone, or does it fall short? In this video, I put the Wavemind Rev F amp sim to the test to see if it delivers the aggressive gain, tight low end, and signature high-gain character that made the Dual Rec legendary in metal and hard rock.

Big thanks to Wavemind for providing the Rev F plugin for this review. I wanted to give you a raw, unprocessed look at what this amp sim can do with no pedals, no post-EQ, and no mix tricks. What you hear is exactly what came out of the plugin.

For this demo, I used my GOC Guitars Illumina+ loaded with Auroratone Earthcrusher rail pickups, running direct into my audio interface for an honest and uncolored test.
