Hello friends,
And welcome to another blues lead guitar lesson! In today’s session I’ll be breaking down one of Gary Clark Jr.’s “go to” licks, as heard in his recent jam with blues legend Jimmy Vaughan. We’ll begin by learning the soloing positions that Gary is using, before breaking this useful phrase up into easy to learn sections. Let’s get started!

In the Gary Clarke Jr/ Jimmie Vaughn video- right before they play this lick they hit one chord several times. I think it's an E. Does anybody know exactly what they're doing?
Hi I've just started learning blues and I'm confused whether you should do vibrato on 2nd string (B) downwards or upwards? I've seen many people say upwards but I see +swiftlessons do it downwards and I myself do it downwards. Someone pls help me out here lol
Is that captain Birdseye in the back there mate? He does a mighty fillet a fish indeed
Reallly good! Theres a video of him and J.V. jammin and the first lick is used a lot
