If it’s not a bassman it’s a twin reverb or a deluxe reverb- black face. Any of those 3 will put you in the sweet spot. And reduce your hearing to a constant ringing
I think The most iconic fender amp is Blackface Deluxe reverb from 1965.
It’s BASICALLY a 4×10 cabinet/head combo. Of course it’s LOUD!
for 1600 euros, keep it, I'd rather pay a bit more and buy Bassman lamps
Opened for a local ZZ Top cover band (Ozone Rangers) back in the 90's. Met them backstage. He had one of these, original of course. Man, did it sound sweet!
Horrible sounding amp, trebbly af. Any blackface over this one, hands down. I’ve had one, biggest disappointment in my gear history, the hype is crazy.
Too loud for home use. You have to reach over 110 decibels to attain break up. By then, the windows are shaking and your neighbors hate you. For home, all you need is a Champ ????
I turned one of these to 10 yesterday in college. I want one bad
I own a 59 fender bassman ltd reisssue that rebuilt PTP….. love it… but I think fender most iconic amp is the BLACK FACE TWIN REVERB
I have one. Can confirm it’s loud if you want it to break up. But so good. Makes you want a big stage!
It’s loud enough for a five piece band in any situation. Need more volume? Try a stupid loud high power tweed twin ????
