  • I played my middle school's Peavey Fury, that's what got me really into bass, I went on to buy a Washburn AB-20 for High school

  • I snagged a G&L SB-2 tribute series for about 300$ used and it’s my best bass in my entire collection. Also the squier 40th anniversary you can easily find in de 300-400$ range and those basses are killers! Better than these new indo fenders and probably better than Mexicans

  • I love my mustang! Only problem is tension. I don't play with thicker strings or flats, so tension is lacking, and it causes a few problems since I have to compensate with the truss rod. Drop D would be pushing it until I did that. Can't really play a lot of Primus on it now, not enough slack for songs like Lacquer Head to sound right. Still playable, though! It's not like the power lines or dead strings some people get when they adjust.

  • Michael Kelly Element bass retail for $600 but after market is around $400. Got mine for $300 because bottom has a huge chip out of it

  • I have a Harmony bass (idk the exact model) and let me tell you, this thing is an absolute beast. I can leave it sitting for months, it’ll stay in tune, it can give you that sweet jazzy thump or a nice, tight sound if you wish. And all for a whopping $50 at a pawn shop. It’s my go to no matter what.
