I’m testing two super affordable pedals from Joyo: the British Sound (inspired by classic Marshall amps) and the California Sound (modeled after that smooth Mesa Boogie vibe). Both cost around $40 — but can they actually deliver the goods?
In this video I’ll talk about what each pedal is supposed to be/do and I’ll also show you how each pedal sounds clean and overdriven, in a pretty extensive sound test.

Good to hear these, especially the band mix – ultimately the only thing that matters. I have a couple of older Joyo pedals, fine for bedroom, but the noise level is pretty high. How did these do? The pedals I have are the classic flanger and the voodoo octave. The noise basement is pretty important to consider. I didn’t hear any, so I’m hoping joyo improved this.
