I’d rather lug an amp and a cabinet around and get instant feedback from the knobs than try and figure out what the hell all these stupid plugin names are and fight with ASIO.
I legit have only ever had the opposite experience with these. Digital interfaces and DAWs were such a pain to set up and always gave me some random issue that no one else has ever had in history before. But my amp just works with a flip of a switch.
laptop + plugins for practice and for writing/trying out new things, amp + pedals for actual recordings and for live shows. although sometimes it's fun just to practice with an amp too, if you feel like shaking your entire house.
I’ll take my old double half stack JCM 800 and JMP 100w master lead over a modeler any day. It’s a bit of work emptying out the cafe corner so they fit but hey? Tone rules.
The NFL relies on streaming as well. Games are on Amazon prime and Xmas games are on Netflix. You have to have YouTubetv or cable and Sunday ticket if you want to watch other games and if you don’t have cable or youtubetv you aren’t getting your local games. But I gladly pay for Sunday ticket. It’s a superior league full of guys that want to actually play every game and put effort out on the field. It’s a million times more physical but the players don’t get injured nearly as much as nba guys and oftentimes the nba guys have major injuries when absolutely nobody touched them. And Sunday ticket is waaaaay more expensive than league pass.
how can I relate more to the "then" one? cables, weird problems, sounchecks resulting to sudden too loud sound are my everyday life. At least my practice amp is not the heaviest and I don't have to move it.
Oh yeah. I remember my first combo, or rather, how I dragged it home from the train station (I lived in the provinces, and the music store was only in another city). It weighed about twenty kilograms. Very bulky.
I remember when my orange amp caught the radio signal for the first time. Heard some people talking in the living room while I was in bathroom and thought I was tripping hell.

Why do you have massive baseboards in your house
Still the best way to do it. I hate the artificial sound these computers are putting out
I'm not at the age where I'm living a detached home of my own, or living in my parent's house. I'd prefer having fun without getting evicted thanks.
AMP CLANKER
WELL YOU SEE THE FAKE AMP GUY IS THE PUSSY TRYING TO LIFT AMPS
Still in the way back when????
Yeah but counterpoint; amps are really fucking loud

He's making a meal out of that. I have a hiwatt 200w and 2x SAI cabs and Im not a bum I had transport to get myself about.
Naah I still two 80s cranked 412 dry wet ????????… Just an 80s girl
便利な時代になりましたね
The reason dimebag used solid states and found out that those can crunch even better than valves
The start kinda reminds me of Diary of a Wimpy Kid Old School when Greg talks about not having spines
in the past this was the work of the backliner or roadie
"We shall never surrender."
We have the same peavy
Lol… That latency… (although it might have been my headphones too)

You wanna see some amazing basketball? Check out those wheelchair leagues. Those guys go at it. It’s a full contact sport. Really fun to watch.
This was like an infomercial showing you how helpful a useless product is in a situation that doesn't exist.

I fear I may be in love with you
The sound when the cabinet drops made me burst out laughing ????????????????????
HERMAN LEE :
The scream is so relatable
it's not even a 2×12 stack dude you need to eat some protein and see a doctor
Nobody's getting the joke…. It's the latency .. it's the freaking LATENCY !!!????????????
Worth having a Peavey Bandit though ????
I lift using an old amp as weight.
