This Amp Does IT ALL?! Synergy SYN 20IR + Z Wreck Module Demo Country to Classic Rock! #guitaramp

The Synergy SYN-20IR loaded with the Dr. Z Z Wreck Module is more than just a country player’s dream—it’s a tone monster that covers everything from chicken pickin’ twang to classic rock crunch and even Dumble-inspired smoothness. Known as Brad Paisley’s go-to amp, the Z Wreck delivers that signature country train-beat snap, but in this demo, I push it far beyond expectations.
I put the Z Wreck module to the test with three guitars:
Fender Custom Shop Telecaster for that authentic Nashville country spank ????
Gibson Les Paul Cherry Sunburst for big, classic rock tones ????
Suhr Strat-style guitar for expressive, dynamic versatility ????
From sparkling cleans to gritty overdrive, the Synergy SYN-20IR and Z Wreck module prove to be one of the most versatile rigs around. If you’re looking for an amp solution that goes from country to rock to boutique fusion tones, this setup might just blow your mind.
???? Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more Synergy amp demos, guitar gear reviews, and tone exploration!

  • Dudes, Nashville resident and legend Mark Volman(The Turtles), Dead at 78, he was on way more records than you knew, I bet.

  • John Jorgenson recommended me Matchless in the 90’s. Sold all my Marshalls. Still have the Matchless and my 1964 DR no logo. So much terrific choice today. My Matchless cost 7,000. Landed Canadian dollar was at a near record low. Wife let me teach night school and summer school to save for it.❤ Brad you are the Real Deal. If you come to Toronto, dinner and beers on me. I support America. Most of my family left here to the US decades ago. You have a Great President ????????????

  • This module sounds really great Brad! This was a breakthrough module for Synergy modules as it first introduced the onboard zero-watt poweramp with phase inverter and tiny transformer for authentically capturing the DrZ ZWRECK’s harmonic and dynamic content.

  • The Z Wreck is a clone of the TrainWreck Liverpool. It’s a EL 84 based amp. The Train Wreck Express was Ken Fischer designing something that could get the classic VH sound. It’s a balls to the wall, highly sensitive single volume amp. The Liverpool is designed for cleaner playing. These are simple circuit amps and any Amp Designer will tell you the more simple the circuit the better the tone.

  • Bruce Egnater does a lot of the Synergy design. He’s a legendary amp designer. He’s who Dave Friedman learned how to start building amps from. I did get it confirmed Mike Soldano did design the circuit for the Synergy SLO module but Bruce Egnater did the final module design. Bruce came up with the pre-amp module concept. The amp designers really like the concept because it allows their designs to be available at a lower price point. Not everyone can spend $3,000 on an amp. A small builder like Dr. Z can’t manufacture a mass produced amp but they can design a module. Touring musicians love it because they can get the sounds they like without taking prized amps on the road and they have less to haul around.

  • Is that a Boss looper pedal in the backing track parts or is that a pre-recorded track etc ??? looks like a very versatile amp and modules. I figured up it would cost 10 grand to buy all the modules and amp. tough. That one module can get some Country tones for sure.
