Best guitar I've ever played. Its almost hard to believe it's an SE model. I would love to play a core model…I almost can't see how it could possibly be any better. Its a really high level for its price range. On par with my gibson R9. It blew me away more so than any guitar ever played, bar none. The neck and pick up tones…best I've ever experienced.
I’ve never played the se dgt before but with everything I’ve heard about them and the way I saw Pete enjoy it I think I’ll have to get one
FYI: the DGT is based on the now hard-to-find McCarty Tremolo model. Great guitars.

Love the gold top! It's my theory that gluing the veneer flametop onto the maple, deadens the guitar resonance – compared to the gold top's plain maple top.
PRS have the worst neck profiles ever

No gigging but I would have no problem taking this guitar to most gigs. Im a Les Paul guy but damn does this guitar sound amazing. Easy to play.
I’m a year late but better than never as they say. I looked right past these guitars because the colors aren’t my thing but after hearing them I think I can get over the color. But then again Lee & Pete play much better than me so I’ll get one and It’ll sound like me and not what I’m hearing here. But at least I understand that going into it.

Finally got my hands on a new one 6 months ago! Needed a good setup, bridge wasn’t level across or front to back. Plays great, I’d sell my McCarty 594 SE and maybe get a Silver Sky SE to replace my heavy Player Series Strat.
To go from an SE to an S2 you have to double the price and add a thousand

Pete knows his gear, and I’ve seen him play £4000 Gibson les Paul supremes and not look impressed, but then I see him play this now £750 dgt and he looks like he loves playing it, that sells it for me
the shape of the body isn't the same, and it doesn't look nearly as good to the player as the real DGT
it's like buying a Les Paul Junior thinking you've got a Les Paul…

I think that the DGT SE is the best in the entire SE range.
David is a badass. Really humble and gracious guy. Glad I had a chance to meet him. Played a version of this guitar when I was painting his house. Balanced perfectly. Incredible control on the knobs. PRS are not my bag, but this guitar did have that mojo that is love.

Had to come back and listen again to this review just to listen to that last jam at the end. Really like that backing track, and both Lee and Pete’s solo playing , it is reminding me of Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan! Crazy Stuff!
This PRS is the only guitar in the entire world that i would bother to upgrade from my Revstar to ????

Had the gold top variant for 72h and it is fantastic. Light, very resonant, coil split that actually works and doesn't lose volume, perfectly intonated, really nice trem system, really nice and warm pickups with a huge tonal variety (treble bleed, coil split and 2 volumes). I have strats, LP, revstars and SE CU24 and this DGT covers all bases. I have played / owned many guitars over 3 decades and this one really stacks up. Perfect for me and my style.

I want one of these… but most recent video's i've been watching all talk about tuning stability, have you guys noticed the same?
I hope they add another option for the bird inlays on the gold top version for just a little bit more. That's the combo I personally want. The bird inlays increase your tone by like 69% or something.
It may not be a purple tele, but I think Pete definitely connected with the gold top here. That’s actually says a lot.. I’m sold.

I don't like gold tops at all so it's good that they have a maple top model.

After being on a waiting list for 6mnths to get a gold top , i gave up and canceled the order and got the flametop birds !! guitar is pretty damn nice . . THE HYPE WAS REAL !!!
